Download the 011 Beta, it will be official on Tuesday or so. abit will start fine tuning the BIOS for better performance now.
On this board, get ready for some BIOS updates. ;)

dfi nvidia board or this?
got my email from William yesterday and the board will arrive 4-11-07 via fedex ground. I am happy to get this board but 2-3 day shipping via USPS is less than $9, I paid $15.15 for fedex ground. Oh well, can't wait to get my grubby hands on this board
Now how am I going to fit a HR-05 SLI on this beauty.
Also I seen pics of this board with 2x8800's on it, was modded drivers used for sli?
Anybody know when this will hit Europe?, I just can't wait damn it! Not that it actually matters though as I won't have a CPU for it until after Intel price cuts. The waiting game is hard :(.
/waiting ............... still
500fsb 1m @ spd timings, in fast mode (set in dram timing page)..
http://img300.imageshack.us/img300/5579/500fsb1mjg6.jpg
higher multilpier with lower chipset latency gives similar if not better results, but this should let you guys who have lower multi locked cpu's know that it is possible to hit 500fsb for 1m, I will try for 32m too later..

Raja
Is this on a stock retail board Raju ?
Nice you are testing this one, you like it more than ya Striker ?
hicookie got banned i think
full retail board, it's less buggy than the Striker I had, all peripheral devices work fine, I checked lan onboard sound etc @ stock before trying any of this 500fsb or overclock stuff. Bios can sometimes hang upon pressing delete to enter, but you can always reset and try again, or using the latest beta hold down the home key, which retains all your settings but brings the fsb back to stock, so you go in and make adjustments without loosing your original timings etc..
here's a single 32m, still @ spd.http://img410.imageshack.us/img410/7...0fsb32mjt9.jpg
I will try for a dual run of 32m next..
regards
raja
speed looks good :toast:
man that bench that hicookie has is nutz.....
ok dual 32m, still @ spd timings, all on auto in bios no ram tweaking, quite fast in dual too at the fsb...
http://img295.imageshack.us/img295/6...dual32mgz6.jpg
 FAST!!!
raju did you need to change any chipset voltages to achieve 500FSB ?
I'm getting ready for the new badboy. Got the latest beta bios on my usb stick ready to go. latest drivers for a fresh install. Looking at the latest bios shots.. ohhhh man. all the options I thought were needed are there!! options to possibly remove cold / warm boot symptoms. looks like it may require some tweaking to get things right, but that's fine
Hi, it's quite surprising that around 1.5vnb set in bios will allow boot and bench upto around ddr1050 at 500fsb, depending upon components and cooling. I did place a small akasa 40mm fan over the stock heatsink, idle is around 30 degrees with load sub 40, bearing in mind the motherboard is on a table top in a very well ventilated room..
Vdimm thus far I have used around 2.35v for the 500fsb stuff, just to keep things conservative. Ram does run a tad hotter on this board due to the increased drive strengths that Oskar is renowned for.
Please bear in mind I have not benched 3d yet @ 500fsb, I will have to wait until I swap out the board into the other rig with a 8800gtx. I will have this board under phase/cascade eventually, just wanted to get some air stuff done so people could get a more realistsic feel of what a good board/ram and cpu can do with DFI's latest offering.

Raja
You plugging in the floppy molex? I see it's recommended for power delivery when using crossfire, but how about otherwise? Any issues with stability without?
It's always good to use the floppy molex power connector on DFI boards, I have experienced lower fsb potential on previous DFI boards when I did not bother using the connector..
regards
Raja
alright, I'll hopefully post results then. damn, what a pain having ugly cables running all over the place. bleh, might give me a reason to put heatshrink on
I am having trouble with my eva680i, should i jump to this mobo or get the dfi 680i coming out soon?
^unless you have to run SLI get his mobo.
hey raju..
can you compare with the DFI 680 lt??
http://www.iamxtreme.net/andre/DFI-680iLT/59.JPG
from andre's initial results..
here.. http://xtremesystems.org/forums/show...=139778&page=6
tnxs..
how about the matrix raid?? :) better??
^^^This is Y I asked for obtainable Cas 3^^^ Not everyone has DDR2 kits that can run cas 3 with those sub timings. I don't think the 965 chipset even does 1T.
The following subtimings were set by AndreYang using Memset 3.2
trc=8, trfc=19, twr=1, twtr=6, trrd=1
Tighening subtimings and running 1T greatly improves Pi times on the 680i chipset. The catch is not every DDR2 kit can run cas 3 @ DDR2-800. I have several kits that can, but it took a little over 2.4v for AndreYang to make a 32mb Pi run with those tight sub timings. I would like to see some cas 3 Pi times without overvolting ram to achieve super tight subtimings.
I think the team xtreme 1200 can run ddr2 6400 cas 3 @ 2.1 volts.. :D but its a little pricey.. :(
this board looks like a winner...looks like it would be stable at 400fsb with low nb voltages and should be faster than my piss poor RD600 experience
I have to build 2 office computers for dictation use with Dragon Naturally Speaking 9....looking for modest overclock by XS std(I am hoping to hit 3200)
I will probably go with an e6600(although e6400 does not look bad either)...buy the cpu after april 22
this board looks great for the price.....
I see no advanatge for nonsli with dfi 680i....
What's a waiting thread wo/ a "wtf should I get w/ this board" reply?!
$213.99 Buffalo Firestix FSX1000D2C-K2G or $179.99 G.Skill F2-6400PHU2-2GBHZ for this board?
I prefer the price and color of the G.Skill, but the Firestix will probably have GKX love. G.Skill bin vs Firestix IC?!
UMMMMMM......DID U FORGET:p:

Nope, the first Crucial 10th died along w/ a P5B Deluxe. The replacement Ballistix CL3 667 died after another month. The replacement Crucial 10th is now giving me trouble unless I loosen timings and lower speeds. The last 2 replacements have died in this P5B-E Premium Plus (fake P5B from egg) and I care not to try again.
I have the DFI board coming on Wed and I'm going to pair it w/ the G.Skill HZ and replace the PSU from a NEO HE to the PC P&C Silencer 610. I highly doubt the cpu, gpu, or hdd's would cause the kind of registry corrupting and random crashes I've been subjected to over the past 2-3 months. Perhaps it's related to running RAID, or bad luck. Who knows, but I just have to get away from the Asus+Cruc killer combo. :D BTW, all RAM died at stock voltages and 2nd/3rd replacement died at stock.
If anyone has any ideas, please share.
EDIT: The 2 raptors are brand new and have been tested recently w/ WD DLG tools. Another oddity is the lack of minidumps. :(
Updated here with a stable overclock with everyday voltages on air...

Settings are fairly tweaked for 24/7 use with micron d9gmh/d9gkx. Obviously benchmarking will run tighter, just wanted to get the ground work done first. It's a question of balance between these 2 newer DFI boards, depending on what your needs are. Both are the fastest in their class it seems, so make your choice depending on what's important to you. I am getting both :), granted that's not something everyone will do, but as a DFI enthusiast, I see no other way to satisfy my curiosity...
I will bench with 3d soon, next up is a little work with quad core, then under the phase unit to see what she'll do at around 4.4ghz, and if that looks good onward to cascade..

DFI 965-s DARK(importation enterprise G.Skill) sales in korea but price badness
PRICE= 170,000WON (USD $183)
http://pc.danawa.com/price_right.htm...0&pcode=451068
hey Raja..
how is the voltage droop??
stable??
is cas 3 much faster than cas 4??
:D unlike you.. I can only buy one.. :(
I'm inclining for the DFI 680 LT..
Hope this board arrive to sweden soon. I really want one :)
very nice raja, how do you like the board compared to RD600?
I am thinking of moving for higher fsb, raid and hopefully no cold boot.
I have found this to be real solid, kinda reminds me of the Infinity once it got its 11/11 bios....
regards
Raja
I purchased one from ewiz. :)
shut tp guys :) dont make me buy one damn it
Just ordered the 965-S from eWiz to replace the DS3. Went ahead and splurged on the Crucial Ballistix kit from Newegg too. :)
3d mark 05 run here
Mine isn't expected until friday. That's okay though because I still have to mod my case and hang my 37" monitor. So when I do get I will get the full experience.
sold out at ewiz...
It's Ewiz selling on ebay too.
Hope mine went through, ordered around 2pm
http://cgi.ebay.com/DFI-INFINITY-P96...QQcmdZViewItem
is that Ewiz?
if so its a higher price ..
EDIT: it is Ewiz..read there rules for purchase...wont ship for 3-5 business days after payament...if no insurance is purchased buyer assumes all risk...I would never buy from there auction..real BS
Ya ewiz = disappointment. Ordered one saturday. Inventory showed them in stock then they call me today saying "all out, no telling when they will have them in". Now they are selling them on ebay? Maybe someone should tell DFI. I chewed them out but don't think it will do any good.
Is it only me when I say that I can not find this board on ewiz anymore? :(
Its sold out.
Mine will be here tomarrow. Ground UPS blows. But I will not have a cpu probally till thrusday. Also Video card and more importantly my Corsair H520 PSU will not be here till thrusday.
/wait
i ordered mine from malabs direct. along with more HDDs and 20gb's of ddr2 ram.
i woulda prefered if synnex carried the board. or if i can find it there
yo if you use a strider psu the mobo wont work in duel channel memory LOL ... atm im useing my 700 watt ocz mine strider is the cheap one off newegg for 150 850 watt :) it was like a strobe light when useing duel channel :( so if you got strider do not buy this mobo :) that would be again silverstone strider seems like another dfi mobo and its picky psu :(
Wow, sold out already? I'm glad to see DFI getting some well deserved recognition w/ this board. 2 guys @ work have bought and I can't wait to see how well it turns out for them. One of the guys was coming from a POS board too, hehe.
I'm using isnoop.net's Universal Package Tracking page to get an RSS and FF's live bookmarks to track it. It's not new, but awfully convenient and worth a mention from time to time...
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v212/jodiuh/RSS.jpg
PS. For the ultimate in tracking, send the RSS to your mobile via yahoo. :D
any results guys???
Reallly amazing!!:slobber:
Any other tester o experience with this M;B ?
anyone got a tracking from yang and can tell me how it was shipped? I didn't ask for one, and figure it's due here anyday if it's shipped fedex / usps. but if it's ups ground, it might be a few more days. just figure I should prep for it, and also try to get some work done before hand so I can give it all my attention. hopefully, i'll be able to have some fun, now that I've gotten 65 hours small fft at 8x450=3600.
FWIW:
I am running right now at 3.6GHz. I increased vcore to 1.350, set FSB to 401, set vdimm to 2.15, and manually set the timings to 4-4-4-12 as a starting point. Currently at 3 hours orthos stable.
wow that's a good chip you have there. no doubt xeon 31b is shining throuhg :) did you order from yang? I'm in western ny too. guess mine's not too far off then :)
Mine got here from ewiz today, but I am waiting on my CPU, PSU, and Vid card comming on thrusday.
In case you may have missed it... its up on newegg.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813136034
just ordered mine.
how many are the stock @ the newegg?? :)
140 bugs ? wth ! why theese  do not ship overseas :slap:
looks like 4 left as of now... just checked...:(
hmm, it keeps depleting and recharging. I wonder what's up with that. I was able to add to cart a while ago. Then it got removed due to insufficient quantities. Now it's back with 4 in stock. It's hard to believe these products are distributed along all the incoming products they're getting that it adds a few every once in a while
I just ordered one from newegg to replace my 975 infinity but i notice that there is clutter around the cpu will i be able to mount a Swiftech Storm on it?
I don't see a problem. everything around it is pretty low profile. The metal plate is ^ shaped at two ends, which is good since it doesn't protrude at the ends, where it'd possibly hit the caps / interfere with the 2x4
nice, where are you located? figure ground from the west coast is going to take some time
Illinois. :)
$##$R%$# I went upstairs to get my %^$# credit card and it sold out when I came downstairs. wtf!?
Well, mine should have shipped last Wed from Yang, but apparently didn't ship til Friday. Fedex Ground says tomorrows the day! Too bad it took the better part of a week to travel one state. :( Does anyone know if the newegg pics of 2 SATA cables are correct? I was really hoping for at least 4 black/blue.
