Anyone running OCZ LV Blades or Platinums PC2-9200 (DDR2-1150) and if so, can you run them @ 1200 MHz on the 500 FSB?
I couldn't get mine stable no matter what I tried at 500. I am stuck @ 495 x 8.5 memory running at 1188MHz. I just tried this last night by the way. After trying it I had to retweak my original GTL settings to get them to act stable again. I had to adjust my gtl settings on my CPU up a couple of notches showing the motherboard I was close to the right setting then back it back down to the original setting and then it started acting stable again. This board is weird how it acts but, whatever. Maybe this is normal behavior and I just have never payed attention to it before. Hope this helps you some how.
anybody got any user opinions on the one level lower motherboard - by
Gigabyte...the UD3L?????
Does it even hold a candle to the UD3R or UD3P????
fsb-wise or are the tweaks in the bios way more limited...
Cause I got an opportunity to get one for free....that's the only reason....and no the UD3R or 3P isn't available...
should I take it????
Thanks :up::up: :up:
Actually I bumped mine up to 2.10 and I'm running the memory reference at .80. When I set my voltage for them to 1.80 my PC won't boot. I think it has something directly to do with the fact that the board sets the wrong reference for the memory thus leading to instability when set to 1.80. I could probably get them to run at 1.80 by messing with the reference voltage enough but, I was able to get them stable where I have them so, I don't care to much. Plus I have a pretty powerful fan blowing on them and the north bridge making everything run really cool so, I don't think I have to worry about it so much.
There's no cooling on the mosfets like the P and R, and there is only a 4-pin CPU power connection like the P and R. BIOS doesn't have as many options, but still overclockable...look at my WorkPC in my sig. It's @ 500 fsb, although it's the DDR3 version. For free give it a whirl :D
