Anyone tried ordering from Tankguys to Canada using google checkout???
Because when I do it I get a message in google checkout:

"TankGuys Computer Parts does not ship to this address via Google Checkout"

I am in Toronto so...
How can this be fixed?
Should I just try ordering through the website and not google checkout?

Managed to get Orthos small FFT's stress test stable for 18+min @ 500*8.5 (stopped the test, all temps stay below 44degrees C)

My settings for that are:

Tried 3 hours to get 500*9 working but could not boot windows no matter what, while 520*8.5 is able to boot vista and make screens but not stress the system...
EDIT: 500*8.5 is very stable and low temps after stressing with orthos entire night.

Anybody know why i cant go higher?

That's easily explained if the default voltage is lower on the E0's. The overclocked power used and hence temperature comes from the change or delta in the frequency and the voltage increase from stock squared.

this is awesome guys! I think I found the perfect combination of everyday usability 24/7 stable, and low power consumption!

I got 4.014ghz (446fsb x 9) @ 1.29Vcore in Bios.

my setup:
e8400 (i believe is C0 stepping)
Asus P5Q-E (1406 bios)
4 x 1gb Crucial Ballistix PC2-6400 (4-4-4-12)
Thermaltake 750W psu
Radeon X1900XT 512mb

I'm ran orthos for about 6 hours since I took the pics...and still counting (about 8 hours now). So far so good, but max temps at 58C. At idle, I'm at 34C :up:

Dude this is XS - go for 4.2ghz@ 1.328v-1.344v - you'll love the noticeably speed improvement and the energy costs will be neglible compared to everything else in your house.:up:

BTW your chip can do it because it is an E0 stepping - cpu-z says so in your screenshots.

Looks like your ram may be the only thing holding you back - if it is double-sided then you should be ok but if it is single-sided then you may be out of luck...

You might want to try small ffts, blend doesn't put much load on the cpu. Proves the ram more.

What if higher E0 temps are caused by yet another Tjmax change by Intel? If the Tjmax were for example 95C instead of 100C, all temps would be 5C lower and almost like C0 ones. If it were 90C - we'd be getting temps a few degrees lower than C0 - and that would be logical indeed.

quick question about memory frequency, straps, and FSB:

on my Asus P5Q-E:
I had my RAM frequency in AUTO, with timings at 4-4-4-12, and Vram=2.02v..... it was running fine, until I started to mess with CPU ration settings from Auto to 9.0. Now, it starts to hang up. I initally had my Vcore at 1.29 and was running great, but now even with 1.31 is crashing on occasion.
Anyways, looks like my RAM is my limiting factor at this point. My question is, what's the best way to setup the RAM frequency, so that it doesn't get affected by the higher FSB? should I force it to DDR2-800 or 900 or so, or leave it in auto?

I want to shoot for 450fsb (4ghz) with 1.3Vcore, and let the ram timings and frequency be what they need to be to be stable here.

any help is appreciated!

With my ASUS P5K mobo the best memory setting are AUTO, believe or not!
Just try it on auto and if you cant get high FSB try to force it to lowest mhz (i think).
BTW: im not the very best overclocker so dont mind if im wrong :D

didn't really work that good in Auto for me.

for those with Crucial Ballistix PC2-6400 (4-4-4-12, 2.0v rated), what are you guys using for Timings and ratio/strap?

keep it 1:1, lowest memory divider possible. I find that works best, high memory with wolfdale makes the system unstable, even though I have DDR2-1100. Can you ram memtest 900 stable? Drop the multipler and try it. Make sure you dont have FSB wall and to see if the ram can do 900Mhz.

Running P5Q Deluxe with E8400 E0 and having troubles running any higher than 4Gig.

To get to 4Gig I need 1.368 Core Voltage (CPU-Z) and I get temps around 62 and 59 using core temp.

I've followed some guides here for BIOS settings and tried most I think but I can't get the o/c higher... This is on air with Thermaltake 120 Extreme and Schyte fan.

So are these volts and temps ok for 24/7? Can I go higher with volts?

i just changed the NB voltage to 1.34, and left everything else the same, and looks like it is stable now.

ps- does anyone know how to disable the multi from dropping to x6? I've tried everything and it still drops to x6 when idle.
