Dumo, am i right in assuming tightning down the timings lowers the max clocks for the IMC? I haven't had the opportunity to try this myself but i think that is what you are saying, right?

Zeus, imo it depends on the cpu. Some can do imc 3000 32m with relax timings but went beserk @ 2600 tight timings like this one...

Hey dumo do you consider this very tight?Interesting enough,testing single channle 8-10-10 2400 is fine,but dual gives error.Same at 9-11-11 2600,single is fine,dual gives error.Lots of volts in VCCSA helps,e.g 1.3 is more stable than 1.2 but still gives error like round 20.If running near to 2800 it will not give error,it just freezes...

with have a german forum bechmark list based on the 26.6 prime
have benched it with 27.7

have only scythe mine coller on it with 2 fans!

think 5 ghz on air is the maxiumum you can prime!

Using XSPC watercooling, Maximus V extreme

3224B167 - 4.8ghz, 1.475v. Can't get 5ghz stable. Gives typical BSOD that means more vcore.
3224B220 - needs 1.525v just to get into windows at 5ghz, but gives strange memory management error BSOD before that. Could this just have the worst IMC ever?

I have same batch 3226B987 look my pics on this thread , is very lower Vcore clocker...but unfortunately is Hot days on Buenos aires today 35C! tomorrow 34C i can't push it more with this hot days

My 3570k works great at low voltage up to around 4.6 GHz but any higher and mass voltage is needed.

I don't think there is a best batch with IB. Just seems to be a luck of the draw found on any particular batch order.


My IB 3570k batch 3204B958 which I purchased at release date back in May does 4.5GHZ at 1.15v with Gskill Ram at XMP settings of 2400mhz CL10. With water cooling.

To me it looks like a good set of ram and sub ambient temp cooling is needed to see max performance of any IB cpu.
