Even at stock the voltage under cpuz jumps around all over the place from as low as 1.33 to as high as 1.42. The bios sets 1.425 as the VID. Whatever it is called v offset, vdrop is bad on this board. Didn't really look around much but I did not see an LLC setting on the UD3 unlike the Crosshair V.Quote:

By saying the guides are primitive, i meant that no guide said which voltages need to be adjusted and which not. At least i didnt find any. All guides i read were useless to me, since i already know the basic stuff of overclocking. I searched for clues if i have to raise PLL too and for example how much vnb would be needed to hit 3000mhz NB etc...
Anyway. Now i tweaked a bit more. Im at 297x13.5 now. vcore @ 1.5v and indeed NB vid was too high. I did reduce it down to 1.35 and its stable. What made my last OC unstable with low NBvid was that my vCore was on its limit too. So increasing NBvid somehow compensated vCore too and made board stable. It may be wierd, but so it was. :)
that's vdrop sorry for hear that, but I don't have it here when using F6 + 8120, you should stick w/ F5 for thuban or 955...
F6 first impressions:
Nice, now we have higher ram multipliers and they seems to work!!
vcore is a mix between F6C and F6K but in a bad way, it have the worst from both... you Set 1.45V it gives you 1.37v (huge offset as F6K) idle and 1.42v load...(vraise of the F6C)
But now it has the closest to what you actually set in bios and load voltage, great! It seems the best combination so far, if we can't have accurate idle/load voltage, best is to have accurate load voltages.
VDDR- Less overvoltage than F6K (almost 0,1V!), now you set 1.635v and have 1.65V idle and 1.67V Load, but the readed value is only 1.60V so be careful if u use the MB readed Vram for base. There still an 0.7V offset difference.

CnQ is working fine while overclocked, as long as you turn c6 also on.

If you want to try and stabilize CPU voltage a bit (reduce vdroop) try upping CPU PLL. :)
Theres no vdroop on my board. board is overvolting it on load by 0.2v or so. F6 bios.
Is F6 BIOS (for my UD7 motherboard) the last compatible BIOS with my Phenom II 955BE? I will get bluescreen when I flash F7 or F8. I cannot even install Windows without crash

If I try to hold down ALT+F12 before powering up the system it will bring up the boot menu before loading OS.
Nothing happens when holding right after powering up as well...just the boot menu if I hold it long enough. Tapping (not holding) makes no difference.
Edit: Stupid me...it works, but only on first boot right after updating the main bios.
Can someone confirm something to me, the resistor for the mod on the ud7 is it 0402 size? or 0201?
OK, now I've successfully hard modded my ud7 and cpu voltage is working more as it should, even though rises a bit under load, but it's preferable than dropping down and causing severe instability.Quote:
