Hey BA\Skinnee\Charles_H\Dangals !
Sorry I am still without internet at home, but I find it hard to even bother with dial-up, and will the little spare time I have I cant stand around and wait for a page to load for 5 minutes LOL.
I got my Murdermod faceplate and my sleeving and think I will to a teardown and rebuild starting this weekend. I got some alu for improved res bracket meterial and now have the fittings I need. I was going to add the chipset block but will have to wait to add it at a later time. Way to sick of waiting for stuff and getting packages at teh acreage drives me insane (long story).
Finally had time to go through your whole buildlog again BA and I have to say it is fantastic, front to back. You went to town and man, did it pay off. If you get a chance shoot me your home phone if you dont mind. I want to ask some questions so I will shoot you a call and we can BS alittle and help a fella out.
On other news, the acreage is getting there and I have the Mercedes and Smart cars on the road now. Sure is nice to ride in style and comfort in the E320, and the Smart car is halariuous. All the rednecks at work razz me, but I dont care. 20 bux for 1000kms of driving is well worth the razzing, and it kinda feels good to not burn gas like it is going out of style.
Well, just wanted to pop in and let you know I am still alive.
Talk to you later!
Thank you!
I just drive my wife crazy now, not quite as fun, but it's still entertaining. :) I'm glad you like the build. Maybe your TJ07's could use a bit of sprucing up? ;)
Just sleeve everything! I probably used 150 feet of sleeving total, but it could be done with quite a bit less, maybe I just went overboard. Use minimal cable runs, combine fan cables if you can, splice cables in hidden areas and then sleeve some more.
I was wondering what happened to you. I was hoping you would be getting at least dial up so we can Skype it up. I think you need to drive your Smart car down to my house, since it's so cheap. I'll let you use my internets. ;)
It's funny how we started talking about the TJ07 build months ago and never would I have thought it would have ended up like this. My plans changed a few times and I'm damn pleased with the results. Let me know if there are any little parts or whatever you might need for your build. You have PM.
Damn I just watched the video of your build: Absolutely stunning your decent lightshow! Big congratulations from me for your wonderful work.
How did you mount the rad to stand on its side? Is it secure?
Thanks dualbrain! I should have some finished photographs soon and maybe another little video just for fun.
The Hammond boxes are secured to the frame by 4 screws. The rads are secured to those with a strong double sided tape. It's not going anywhere, that's for sure.
That murder mod box is so sick. Excellent job on the wire guides and sleeving.
Is the inside powder-coated?
hi BA,
i know these pics are just for dingdong... :P
but may i know the size of those clamps/clips?
thanks!
I bought those from McMaster and here is the information for that.
8876T36
(Same as 8876T13)
Nylon Loop Clamp for 1/4" Outside Diameter, Black
In stock at $5.12 per Pack
I think if I were to do it again I might go just a bit larger, so maybe 3/8". 1/4" is only large enough for 2 wires, so I had to get creative.
thanks for the info BA. your solution was very creative and neat actually.
i'll try to find something similar locally, shipping from mcmaster might be more expensive than the clamps. haha.
btw, if you went with bigger ring, the case might not close properly?
Sidewinder FINALLY has these beautiful blocks in stock.

Thanks ShoNuff. I just ordered my LGA 1366 Adapter plate and another radiator for the i7 upgrade. ;)
Got my PsychoPak sleeving kit from murderMod. They send you a TON of stuff. I had no idea so much came with the kit. I will be busy for a while. :)

Very-very NICE job
please update more pictures
Wow, the more i look at the MurderMod TJ07 the more i want the case lol.
Is the XT DI a better block than this one? Also do they make adapter plates to fit 1366? Lastly; how are these compared to the apogee GTZ?
I was going to get the GTZ till I saw this thread with the AC parts. Those look top notch.
ALSO to BA; excellent job on all your builds! Just want to mention one idea that you may or maynot like; Thinking that you should make you liquid for the TJ-07 white or whiteish; cause when you look at the res, it kind of off with the rest of your color scheme. Not even sure if anyone makes a white fluid, but just a thought. Otherwise an excellent build.
Here is a link regarding the details of the murderMod sleeving kits. If you purchase everything separately I am sure it would costs you more. I was expecting a little box and I got a huge box with all the stuff pictured above. I got enough to last me a life time. :D
If you go to the "English" section of the AquaComputer forum their is a link to a review using the Cuplex HD and GTZ if IIRC. The margin of difference between all the blocks tested was smaller than expected.
You can get the 1366 adapter fittings from Sidewinder as well.
