it's ok if u dont want to believe. there's no point for me to make up story.. in the end the rig is for my friend since mine is E6600..

and 1 more thing, the E6400 is week 26, not 24.

here is the pics, i dunno why cpuz shows vcore as 1.424. All i know is i dont change anything except vmch, vfsb & vpcie.. each to +0.1v
and i dun care if people say i'm cheating, bcoz i'm not hunting for glory or fame, i just want to share what i got, maybe week 26 is a better oc, :D hehe

Look at your temps, something is wrong there. You must have the voltage on "normal" and the bios automatically ups the voltage for stability at the FSB you're at. If you manually set the vcore to stock 1.32000 you'll most likely not get into windows.

The reason I suspect that is your temps. The only way my temps ever reach that high is because the voltage is higher than stock, infact much higher (it was 1.4v in my case when I had it on normal and 400fsb, which doesn't work for me at stock voltage btw). And at stock voltage 2.8ghz I get 26'c idle and 44'c load on scythe ninja +. That leads me to believe you don't have your voltage set in the bios to a certain amount, you just have it on "normal".

check with DMM if you aren't sure

I am interested to know how that week 26 goes

can you go to bios and select 1.325v and OC......show up how far you can go with orthos sp2004

useful info dinos~! ok i'll try to set it manually soon. if as u say it happens bcoz of bios then it does relieve me. Bcoz i feared that my board is overvoltage and i need to RMA it.

another thing is my DQ6 is on bios F3g. i cant do vmch over +0.2v and vfsb over +0.15v..

vmch over +0.2v ---> my screen goes blank, unless i put my xtx in slot 2 :(

vfsb over +0.15v ----> it wont boot. i have to reset cmos :(

any of u guys faced these before? i dunno how to fix them..

Upon further investigation it seems that if VCore is set to 1.45 or higher EIST cannot be disabled now.

i dun think so... F3 is so far the latest.. I just hope the next bios will allow me to go higher than 0.2vmch.

well i used @bios worked great
now on f4e
was able to pull off 3ghz on stock settings with my 66 did a few 3dmark05 runs real quick and works great

Well after my first DS3 dies due to the crappy F4e bios I got my new board RMA'd.... Im using the amazing F4 bios now :) at 400x7 with a 6300 & 2gb XMS2 6400 all stock volts. Priming ATM & its stable. Gunna give it some more later

On my DS4 im using F3b bios, is there any better bios's? (that help the overclock :))

Is there a F4x out yet for the DQ6??

I went back to the beta F3g as it seems to be more stable than the F3 release.

Hear that: I updated my DQ6 BIOS from the old D25, to the newest F3 and now my GF7900GT works in the PCI-E x1 mode instead of the x16 mode. I also tried the F2 bios, and still the same. My 3D scores are twice as low as they used to be. CPU-Z and nvidia drivers confirm that my 7900GT works in x1 mode. F*** How to solve the problem? Tried different PCI-E clocks and loaded fail-safe defaults, but still the same. Help!

EDIT: I've solved the problem (or rather it solved itself). I simply switched my computer off and after 30 minutes when I switched it on it was already working in the x16 mode. Weird indeed. I have yet to see such a strange thing.

What's wrong with the F4e BIOS? I thought this was what most people were using now, and so that's what I flashed to. Am I in danger of killing my board?

Why does everyone freak out when people use something different? The way people react around here to things they don't want to hear, you'd think a nuclear holocaust was just around the corner.

Your board is fine. Use whatever BIOS fits your needs and gets you the best overclock, if that's what you are looking for. It's not gonna be the same for everyone.

That being said, the F4 versions seem to be the most stable, and fix the PIO mode bug if you are using RAID + IDE.

I have a week 26 E6300 OEM. I can safely get into windows at 3.15 Ghz on stock Voltage and run benchmarks however it is not orthos stable to acheive that i have to up the voltage to 1.375 CPU at 51 Degrees load. I would go further if this damn Mobo/bios would let me. Tried undervolting at stock and was able to bench at 0.9Volts:)

hhmm cliffy is your ram the OCZ PC6400 XTC ?
if so that ram will do 1000mhz on most baords easy @ 5-5-5

set the ram at 2.0 divider and it will be a 1:1 ratio to your fsb.
so if your only doing 350mhz FSB the ram will only be 700mhz.
this gives you lots of headroom to increase the fsb
but you will always want ot remember to increase the vdimm and vcore respectively.
if you cant get past that spot raise the vcore to 1.45 you shouldnt have any problems getting higher.

I think you miss read my CPU is an E6300 the FSB is already on 450 and want go 1Mhz over :mad: PCI-E FSB and GMCH all on +.1 (raising them makes no difference) and MEM is at +.3 can get more out of the mem but not my raising the fsb
