Yeah get rid of it and use a Audigy 2 ZS
its good. good quality but lags cpu time
i use a sb live 5.1
my unbuffered at 280 is like 2250/2350 and thats with loose timings... eva2000 had i think 2500/2600 with 2-2-2 and about 255 HT, your timings are bad try 2-2-2-10 and it might go up
I use it,don't have any prob's with it,works and sound real good,i use also a Logitech Z-640 speakerssystem(5.1),use the prog that comes with it Xear3D and works great, nice soundeffects  you,can/and i'did, make with it;).Quote:

well something is wrong. what is your cpu speed? i know that affects memtest bandwidth a lot, evas cpu was about 2.6ghz
try tweaking some of the low level settings, like Tref, set that to 4708, 4196 or 3120. i think the latter is good for bh-5 according to jess1313
set the 2 second last timings to 4x 4x that works best for me, but you might also try 7x 16x
Xear 3d sucks i had it on my epox nf2 its a crappy program.
get a sb live there about the same as onboard, but dont use cpu up and also have eax
9x250. 2800+ clawhammer with 512k L2 ;)
Given the CPU speed its not bad i'd think? Good enough for 38s super-pi anyways. Beats 2x512 of CH-5 by 2 seconds @ 248 1.5-2-2-10
Just got my 3400+ DTR and it is this..
AMA3400BEX5AR
CAABC 0411MPM
Time to slap it in and see what it can do... :D Wish me luck:D
That's a very early week you have there (early March 2004). I hope you can pull something sweet out of it. Let us know how it goes.Quote:

Not too bad, but with 9x300 and 9/10 divider for ram... all air cooled.. btw does 2600 on stock voltage
For 2750 I need 1.75vcore  , pi suddenly decreases to 34 sec  and temps go thru the roof with 52c under load :(
I.E.: Good chip, but need Vapo for new highs ;)
Alright first results after not even changing anything from my old setup but to a 10 multi.. so I am at 2.5:d at v1.6 on the core... with my XP-120 as well:-d
I got 7582 on 3DMark03 so far...I have alot of tweaking to do...although it could be my driver as well.
Right on ugp! What, no pics of the lapped 120? :D
I didn't even get to lap it yet, the heatsink is stock. I will eventually lap it down.Quote:

i was playing hl1 for about 3-4 hours. then it crashed, so i upped voltage from 1.75 to 1.76 and that should do it. i was also folding at the time.
heat plays a big part in instability for me. as long as i have my cpu fan on full and rear fans on about 1/3 speed, its ok.
im gonna invest in some mosfet cooling that will do good for my cpu and i might get phase, although im thinking of getting a dothan and dfi :P
Here is my current records on SP1M and 8M on WinXP Pro 32bit:
DFI LP 250GB, 3200+ 130nm (CBAEC 0428RPMW)

http://koti.mbnet.fi/dani69/DFI%20nF...XP%2032bit.gif
Most testing done alittle...MemTest86 stable atleast...
Highest the CPU Temp reached 52C
Me thinks I can go further!:D
Here is my AquaMark3 score..
http://arc.aquamark3.com/arc/arc_vie...run=2028695414
55,802...Time to tweak alittle more. I went back to 250x10.0 because I don't believe 260x10.0 was 100% stable. Have more tweaking to do:-d
My new CPU cleared all my troubles...
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...id=19676&stc=1
Only at default voltage and 2,9V at the RAM.
Heading to bed right now, but will be back tommorrow with more results. :)
You can sleep well now Zeus =)
Finally some fun!
New CPU cleared all my troubles so far as well:D
Nice, Zeus! :toast: Hey guys, don't forget to sink up ALL your MOSFETs. I've been havin some weird probs OCin, & decided to pull the mobo last night & start over. Seems I missed a couple MOSFETs before. There's one near the edge of the board by the DIMMs, and another near the ATX header. After sinking them, all my temps went WAY down. I'm runnin' my 3200+ now @ 2400 MHz.(10x240) @ 1.6vcore, and temps are 29c, 22c, 22c idle. :D
I don't really have any heat issues...there is hardly any heat at all in my case now:D
I took away the ihs from mine, and some as5 on that after lapped the front plate.
Temp stopped going up and down like crazy.
Can give it 2.0 volt without crash, but its kinda crazy =)
listen young man do you want your cpu to end up like that 9800pro? :D :P
thast a good thing to hear. what sinks are u using? i can get 8 tweakmonsters for 20$Quote:

Also...quick question to add...I am wondering about the CPU Temp reading...which do I go by... I am using the 11/15 BIOS.
The BIOS, Smartguardian, and SiSoft all report different Temps...which is accurate?
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...id=19748&stc=1
I'm just using some cheapie CoolerMaster copper RAMsinks. I got em on sale at coolerguys, $5 for an 8-pack. They're located here in Washington state, so shipping for you Aussies might be a little steep. ;) BTW, you better get more than 8, if you want to do them all. I probly used around 16 or 20. You'll see what I mean, when you start looking around. :)Quote:

I can't read any of the text...what the hell does any of it say on that forum?
I'm curious to know what your temps say in the bios. Mine is a 62w also and temps read 40c under heavy load. Is yours anything like this? I'm wondering how accurate that is, since I think all motherboards have issues reporting accurate temps on mobiles and dtr's. It always seens to read about 5c higher or so than actual. Nice o/c man! I've never seen a 3400+ 62w in action until yours.Quote:

What? This is fvcking nuts man! I've never seen this one before! lol
so your wc setup is in the roof?
No, he has the PC on the 1st floor, the tubes go through the floor into the basement and the rad is submerged in a well in the ground. it must be really cold down there. This should get an award for most innovative w/c setup. He's very resourceful. :)
ahh didnt see second pic
spaceman
im gonna get these 16 for 32$ http://www.zalmanusa.com/usa/product...x=139&code=013
OMG that's just *Out there*:wierd:
EDIT: *didnt see the submerged rad*
Imagine the buildup of deposits computersmsa gets on his rad
nanobot - probably none, its a sealed system and the well only cools the rad.
Think of it as a water cooled water cooling setup.. lol ;)
That is very insane! I want it! lol
Thought I would post a few pictures of how I mounted my Thermalright XP-120 with 2 120mm Fans. And also you can see the ATI Silencer 3 on my ASUS A9800XT:d
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...id=19771&stc=1
That is just another 120mm wedged into the case between the PSU rail and motherboard tray.

Zip ties,I love it ! Cuz it's soo ghetto
It was the only way I could mount the 120mm to the XP-120 and since the ZipTies that I have about '300' of are UV Reactive it fits:DQuote:

so whats ugp thinking?
Maybe he didnt read the manual =)
I am having problems with my slk948U.. at 110% I'm loading at 63C which doesn't seem right.. Would getting an XP120 help my temps?
Does it have enough room to fit without any mods? What load temps do you get at 110% and above?
Thanks.
I have tried mine with 2.0 volts and superpi.
It didnt crash (and it didnt burn either)
Try another bios.
LOL Uber, you really are a high voltage man, aren't you? :DQuote:

So here i am playing halflife 2 with a geforce 2..what a waste of good time.
Btw..the new nvidia 64bits drivers works with xp also (NF3)
Nanabot -> The water is clean :)
Now, I have pickup the rad.
Now, I have submerge a tubing of 3m :)
I love the w/c setup, but why not just just submerge the rad in a bucket of icewater and keep everything together? ????Quote:

I know it's closed, but why not just do the same thing you're doing, except have the bucket of ice water next to your computer and just keep the rad in there when you are benching? This way you don't need to use 5 meters of tubing and lose flow rate. Is that little pump all you have doing this? Unless you run this 24/7 with the cold water? Nevermind me, just do what you were doing LOL
24/7 since one mouth .... ilde 17-19 °C
Farcry -> 24-25°C ...
The fan I have is not able to use the clips...yes I read the manual and no I really didn't need to. It is hard to explain what I mean...it needs clips that will clip on the top of this particular fan because it can't on the lower end of it...

Computersmsa, that's pretty slick. :toast: Probly stays nice & cool in the summer, too.
Urm, I'm not sure those are gonna work. Some of the MOSFETs sit in a cramped little space, between caps, and you actually need to cut a normal RAMsink in half to make it fit. And some are right near the AGP tab. Unless you already ordered, look for some shorter ones, more low-profile. :)Quote:

When exactly do you need to add more cooling to the MOSFETs? What makes them get hotter and to the point of needing to be cooled alittle bit more.
I assume cooling them alittle better can improve overclocking correct?
I am sorry I don't know much about these at all...I am still learning alot here...
high vdimm and vcore. i never cooled mosfets in the past, but maybe it's time to, lol
I always run my vDIMM at v2.90 and my CPU is only at v1.60 I don't think it is needed for me.
is florida as hot as perth? do you gtet 43c summer days? u might still benefit
Right now it is starting to get really cold and that means the window is staying open and I am going to freeze this out. I don't care if it is my bedroom or not...I love it when it is cold!
ahaha i do too but i hate going in the ocean when its 16c water temp! sooo cold
Yeah that I would hate. Because it is so cold right now...well it isn't that cold yet but anyways....my GPU is idling at 38C and the memory on my VGA is at 36C.
My CPU is at 27C right now:d I love it! I wish I didn't have to work 06:00am to 10:00pm today so I could stay here and overclock alittle higher:D
This is a screenshot of my friend, i know, it is a really low multiplier but it stills insane:

DFI Ut250 stock, no mods.
clawhammers can get 400+ no problem.
Isn't the FX-55 a clawhamer? :D
no its an opteron/sledgehammer i think
clawhammer. sledgehammer is the socket 940, claw is 130nm socket 754/939 1mb cache, new castle is 512k cache, winchester is 90nm 512kb cache.Quote:

im going to try 300x10. not trying superpi just 3dmarks 03 and 01, maybe 05 but need video clocks
How do you know if your heatsink is mounted properly on the CPU? I am not sure if it is making contact all the way or not...it doesn't seem to be. Because of my temps.
Feel the base of your sink... if it's cool and your CPU temp is high it may mean poor contact.
Also, I have heard with some sinks (Eg XP-120) if it is making poor contact you can sometimes push down on it to lower temps... that would give you a good idea too.
