yes, it would seem so.
is it worth spending 380 on a opteron 165 0610 stepping? and hitting 3000mhz on air?
i'm currently using a 170 0546 at 2750mhz. 1.5v at 48C dual prime

sory guys for talking portuguese , i was just answer to a friend mine :D
cumprimentos
Anything that doesnt seem to do higher than 2.8 is blacklisted. The chips that often hit 3.0 are reccommended and the ones that do 2.9 are honorable mention.Quote:

i was talking to my friend telling that 2700Mhz in a x2 3800 its not same 2700Mhz in a opty dual core cause x2 3800 only have 1Mb cache and opteron dual core have 2mb cache .
But I bet that I will reach 3Ghz next week when I set up my WC system. ;)

it doesn't mean that 3ghz will be hit with wC. wc is only for temps not necessarily for ocQuote:

55C is *technically* safe, but for optimal OC results you gotta keep it under 45C

No, they actually do matter. They don't have a coldbug. ;) A friend of mine had one that took cold very well, and clocked very nicely.Quote:
