Condolences on the mobo loss. I'll need a couple myself. G0-3 has never worked right. Whenever I restart I have to shut down and unplugh the PSU cord to get it to boot. :shakes: And one of my Asus P-35s won't OC anymore as I can't control the voltage. He posted that in every thread about those darn 5506's, the problem was reported a long time ago though but they didn't realise the extend of the problem I'm afraid as the clients do not report the bad wu's directly.
I GIVE UP! I can't stand these command line clients anymore. There is no way of pausing it and when I exit out of it I lose the work unit. I just lose two more SMP workunits because I shut them down to play left4dead. This is insane.

I'd definitely recommend the -forceasm flag. It will prevent 99% of losses due to improper shutdown as it does not check prior shutdown on restart. :up:Quote:

Hey Catawalks, pardon my ignorance... are you running Doz SMPs or Linux? In Linux I manually add it on every start just because i don't trust the automatic scripts. In Windows I just add the flag to the target field in the shortcut. :) HTH.Quote:

Catawalks you could 'try' to get them running as service, and not stop them but pauze them :) A paused client does not exit, and so it can not loos reference to it's work files.
On the other hand, you shouldn't have this problem in the first place. Think I asked before but are you running vista with uac and the client in program files? If so, you need to either turn uac off or more the client to another location.
OK, I cleaned up the charts and organized it all so it's all ranked by team and by user....

For me it won't happen until next year. I'm going to be pretty much shut down over winter break (Dec 12 to Jan 12) due to a lack of good internet at home. I'm going to try and keep my 4870 going, maybe my 9600GSO but I doubt it :(
Mhm I think you both need to be listend to, as your contributions where what made the race succesfull in total points. Though, and I mean this without dismissing your effors and contributions, it's not only about the top producers, it's maybe even more a motivational tool for the lesser god's including me. Sure I can look at eoc/kakao and look at the radars there, but I'm pretty stagnant on both the team rankings and global rankings so the race allowed me to look allot broader and compare with people who I otherwise wouldn't notice as much :)
Besides, you don't have to be in a race to be valued around here :oscar:
It's not my decission to make, I'd say if we can't reach consensis here now we could always just have a poll and let everyone vote on next race start date :up: I'm not ready anyway, need a few more days to get the database working as I want and then I can 'keep scores' without spending allot of time on it ( besides fixing crashed applications/servers :poke: ).
Anyway, all this talk about next race, we should be celebrating the one which just ended instead, keep the next race decission to next week or so and post more referee's :hrhr:
