I wish I had the same luck... I'm running the 10/18 bios and I cannot get this board to stop from throttling or shutting down. If I enable Thermal Management in BIOS, then the board will drop to x6 multi under Small FFT's... If I disable Thermal Management in BIOS, then the board will shut down within 5 seconds of running Small FFT's. If I run large FFT's... no problems.
DenDen is this what you noticed in earlier BIOS versions?
BTW, I'm water cooling my mosfets!
last night I swtich on the C1E, it function perfectly to lower the multi to 6 when idle and jump to 9 when I prime small fft for 2 hrs. Well I've never come across your shut down problem against the thermal management, I only found the multi down to 6 when without fan blow to the mosfets in the ealier bios. It seems so strange that your mosfets should not be overheat with wc. should you try enable C1E instead of enable the thermal management if wanna enbling the stepspeed?
got this board a couple of weeks ago. paired it together with a q6600 G0. have tried various bioses, 1018/918/723. and no stability other than at stock speed :(
and last night when i was flashing to the 2ct.. somthing bios it froze up and died. i have been a dfi fan for a long time but i hate this board and won't buy a new 1 again.
i don't recomend this board for anyone else to buy, at least if you're going to use a quad core

Just got the RMA back from DFI and what you know? Its DOA, didnt use water setup just air cooling to see if it works, just the nessesary parts video, cpu, ram, power. would not boot its just hangs on error code 80 which is related to HDD, so i changed HDD and still same thing. Cleared CMOS and now it has error code 00. Hold power and reset for 5sec same time, now it would not even boot when pushing power. Like it dead only the standby led lights up. Man i have had it with DFI, anyone know a board with similar pci-e configuration like the 680i-lt? I mean 16x+16x+8x.
Does this board having any known issues with corsair 6400c4d (looked and couldn't find any) since I need another 680SLI as my current board up and died.
hi
2 questions please :
1.
i have corsair dominator pc2-9136 who runs at 1142mhz at 2.1v
on my old evga nf680, memory runs perfect at thsi frequency
on my dfi nf680i lt, i canno t use the memory at this frequency
default is 800 mhz, and when i do unlinked, push the frequency to 1142 and voltage to 2.1 , computer doesn t boot
i miss something for the overclock of the ram ?
2. what about the name of the bios ????
at the begenning, 2c are for core 2 duo and 4c for quad core
and now ?
the last bios is named N5FD723.zip and so ?? for dual , quad core or all cpu ??
where is the last bios ( beta or not) for quad core ?
thanks
Hey all, had this board now been discontinued? Cant seem to find it anywhere in the UK. No where seems to stock it anymore!

incompatibility with raptor 150??
please help
thanks
What measures have you taken to ensure that it's not to do with your RAM config? Also, you will probably get more views if you start a new thread. This is intended to be a general info thread I think. You should also post at the DFI Club forums for help: http://csd.dficlub.org/forum/index.php
The missing file error message is exactly what what you get when data corruption occurs during a Windows install. This is most certainly the problem, the difficult part is just figuring out what is causing it. The majority of the time, this happens due to incorrect hardware configuration in BIOS, most of the time relating to RAM settings. It can also be due to defective RAM modules. I would highly suggest you wait to RMA until you have 100% ruled out all possible causes other than the mainboard itself. Otherwise you will most likely get a replacement board and will have the same problem. If you post over in the DFI forums with a detailed configuration in your signature, I'd almost be willing to bet you'll get help and have the problem sorted out in no time.
I just bought this board from Newegg and I'm waiting a few days for it to arrive.
I'm using a Q6600 G0 with 2 8800GT's in SLI, 2x2gb G.Skill DDR2-1000.
So it seems the 5/21 bios is best but it doesn't have the multi unlocked but seems to throttle once the board gets really heated up. The 7/23 has the multi unlocked but seems to not perform as well.
I'm hoping I'll be receiving a newer revision of this board.
What revision are you all currently using?
I primarily play Crysis at 1920x1200 and these 2 8800GTs have been on my mind since they came out. I do currently have a 8800GTX but some of the benchmarks I have seen seem to really benefit from SLI. The newer Nvidia drivers have been increasing Cyrsis performance slowly. The new Crysis patch should be increasing SLI performance.
I chose this board because of the fantastic layout and more than 4 USB ports. I refuse to pay $300 for the Striker and get poor card slot layout and only 4 USB ports. I know this board has not been the best Q6600 performer but I really need this board's layout to work with all my cards.
I currently have my Q6600 G0 on the DFI P35 UT board. Any chance the GTL voltages from the P35 board can be used with the 680i LT board? I'm guessing not exactly but it may be a starting point.
hey guys,
I#m using the 680i with an 8800 gtx and i'm thinking of buying the x-fi soundcard.
i already heard that there can be problems with this soundcard and the n680i.
what are these problems?
are there ways to get rid of them?
does every1 have these problems with the x-fi and the n680i or is it just bad luck?
mfg
I have one running in a asus p5nt-ws 680i with no issues.
The problem is a combination of running a graphics card in the middle PEG slot with an X-FI and a variety of BIOS versions.
If you have just a single card in the first PEG slot, you shouldn't have any problems.
If you run the 5/21, 12/21, or 3/20 BIOS versions you shouldn't have problems.
Finally, unless you need SLI, there are lots of better boards to choose from. NVIDIA's chipsets are really just crap. Even if you need SLI, there are probably better nVidia boards to choose from.
I had That windows install issue with Raptor,Bios flash helped me(thank god).
Now im having trouble that it wont accept my overclocking attempts,it shows the current FSB and voltage and the desired one, but it wont load the overclocks after saving the settings.
This board has been total nightmare so far,all sorts of trouble with Ram,installing windows and now with overclocking.
Well was cheap atleast, 75$.
Has anyone had any success on this board with the Flex II 9200 kit?
No one is running the FlexII 9200 2x2 GB kit on this board?
