wow 1100 with only 2.1v?
well jedec is 1.8 so +0.3v would be 2.1. You should use a dmm to verify or use speedfan to look at vcore2 (actually vdimm).
IIRC, rev2s shipped with f7 bios, so I'm guessing f4 might still be rev1? At least it sounds like it'd be c2 chipset.
Can't wait for the dfi infinity
I think shipped F4 is Rev1.0 but its C1 or C2? for find check it with CPU-Z 1.38 or higherQuote:

Please advise:
I have DS3 Rev1.0 C1 + 2x1GB Patriot 800LLK
I'm having problems booting since the beginning (DDR Volt already set to max) so I'm looking for new mobo.
What are the boards known for not having memory issues? DS3 Rev3.3 - is it finally fixed? DQ6 any different from DS3 in terms of memory issues? or maybe get Asus P5W-DH? OR Asus Commando?
Sorry but I saw many many Gigabyte 965 boards that cant boot with Patriot LLk at all! I personally test DQ6 rev1.0 C2 with your memory with All F3...F9 but no luckQuote:

I Talk Out this problem with my Friends in Patriot and they told that they will update JDEC for fix
but finally dont Try with Gigabyte again I think Commando is best choice for you ;)
i've built 8 systems with the ds3 and patriot 6400 LLK, none ever had a problem. rev 1 c1, c2 and rev 2 boards as well. set vdimm to +.4, which makes 2.2 vdimm, not max vdimm. probably frying the memory.
I just bought a DS3P rev3.3 to go with my E6600 and Crucial Ballistix D9's. I cannot get anything past stock cpu speeds. The CPU host clock control keeps disabling itself and I have NFI why. I have done all the usual disables in the bios EIST etc but nothing has helped. Memtested the ram, switched slots and nothing.
Upon hitting f10 to save sometime the pc will reboot twice then go into Windows and its still at stock speed or the pc will shut down, everything powers down, then after about two seconds it will power up again.
I'm hoping there will be a new bios release soon as I have no option but to stay with F4 atm.
I had an old PCI card here, chucked that in an BOOM, straight ot 3ghz!! So what does that mean? I have to get a different card? :nono:
Accoding to G/b's website there is only the current F4 bios for my mobo, can I use a different bios from another G/b mobo?
Thanks.
Another update and hopefully problem solved.
It was asked of me in another thread whether I had locked the PCI-E frequency or not, I had but it also disabled itself and I did not notice it.
I put it to 100mhz and still nothing, I went to 110mhz and it showed in the boot screen that it was at 3ghz!!but it still rebooted, beauty, I'm onto something here, I raised the PCI-E overvoltage control to +0.1v and BAM!! I'm in Windows at 3ghz. I scoured every dam forum today and not once did I see this mentioned about raising the PCI-E overvoltage control, unless I was blinded by my frustration.
So I hope this can help others.
So too anyone who is seeing the same problem, try this.
Well, we've been all the way up to F10 for awhile... :toast:Quote:

E6700 here STT fast ram
He has a ds3p. The only bios for 3.3 is f4. Sorry.Quote:

I've just installed 4x1gb of Crucial Ballistix, but one of the slots (DDRII2/left-hand red one) refuses to budge over 820mhz
The other three slots will all let me boot all four sticks at 1000mhz.
I'm not even sure if that's grounds for RMA considering that the spec only goes as high as ddr2-800.
I just got a new beta bios for the DQ6, will work with Rev 1.0/2.0/3.3 etc.
Very early beta dated 13th Febuary 2007 so one can assume a later build exists by now.
No changes from what i can see, nothing except the copyright date within the Award bios, it now reads 2007. More observations to follow...hey!...at least GB will still support the DQ6 for awhile yet.
:)
Richard do you have a website as to where the new BETA bios's are released?
They were given with the instruction that the beta would not be released, it's extremely beta and could potentially cause more problem then solve.
Though right now i have my normal overclock settings in place, as seen in my sig.
Realtek HD audio codec, version 1.61:
http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/...&GetDown=false
Support for Vista and Win XP etc., check the file downloads for more.
I'm performing a new WinXP install on my DS3 to use my Raptors in RAID-0.
I downloaded the floppy driver from Gigabyte's website and it comes up fine during XP setup. But then I get a choice of two different chipsets, GBB363 and GBB360.
I have a DS3 Rev.1 C2. Which chipset should I choose?
I used the 2nd one on the list. I think it was one of the GBB363 options.Quote:

I didn't change any settings except the ones that need to be disable to stop the multi dropping.
i would really like to run my ram higher with lower multi i prefer 400 x 8 but i cant see to get it. i tried 400 x 7 that didnt work.
what exactly can i change to get this to boot. my northbright has a 40mm on it and have a 120mm fan blowing onto it.

try conductive ink on the cpu to force it to native 266?
