Just tried 5/3 and it boots into Windows @ 280 but BSOD's minutes later. Fails superpi 8m 7 seconds in. I also just updated to the 1114 Ultra-D bios.Quote:

orange work best for me :toast:
don't forget to try swapping stick order. one of my sticks is slightly stronger than the other, so the order i put them in changes the max stable by ~3-4mhz
also, don't limit testing to 5/3.. drive strengths play a huge role in stability for me. i think it warrents a full investigation with the max speed for a particular bench for each possible setting.. though one curiosity is that i have a lot of trouble running at higher mhz with drives lower than 4. now sure why, or what's up with that. if you have the same problem, i'll probably really be scratching my head :p:
*Update*
After playing around with my ram last night for about 6 hours in the AM I have determined that I received defective stick/s from the manufacturer. They cannot run stable at rated timings of: 250 Mhz 1T 3-3-3-8 At rated voltage/speed/timings it fails superpi 8m, memtest, and prime95. I am going to get an RMA for new sticks and hopefully Ben can help me out with my communication with Team Group. I tried swapping sticks and running individually. One stick can only achieve stability @ 240 Mhz 2T, the other stick can achieve stability @ 250 1T. It looks as though one stick may be holding me back. I am just going to send the kit back to Team for further inspection. Sorry for my bad news lately on the sticks. I have been hearing nothing but great news about them (280mhz to 300+) and most of you are getting decent OC's. It looks as though I may just be the 1 out of 1000 people that receive a faulty stick. Not a big deal really. As long as Team sends me something that works.

Notwithstanding Ozzy's results, I think 270 is going to be the average top overclock of these sticks in most situations from what I can tell from this and other fotum reports. The "F's are decent chips, but no where near as overclockable as the original balistic micron chips nothwithstanding the crucial stick failure issues which hopefully these won't have, and the fact that the crucials are no longer available. Quite frankly if we aren't able to do much more thamn 270, the new infineon stick xtreme just announced look more interesting:

hmm there could be so much that hold u back by clocking
this ram.
Wow. I must say, if you are a Team Rep I am greatly dissapointed. Listen, I spent $300 on Micron Cronus sticks that should be clocking at DDR520 like you said. I could have spend $150 on Value Ram that clocks in at DDR520. But I decided to spend my money on memory that you dispayed (must be cherry picked) at 300 Mhz. I ordered this memory based on your Un-Biased results. If you are telling me that I am the scam artist for posting realistic results on your ram from an Ordinary customer without cherry picked sticks you have got something else coming to you.Quote:

Sig specs were from the first night. My first boot clocked in 7200/7200 in sandra but minutes later BSOD'ed in Windows. Completely unstable @ 280 mhz. I guess I posted up my overly excited results and jumped to conclusions.Quote:

I just wanna help , and nothing else, that reason why I am not happy is some company have customer to buy Team group ram and make it looks like crap
and I just wanna be friend, you know, so don't be mad.
That sucks dude.. my sticks are stable till a little past 280, and unstable till 302 then insta Blue screen..Quote:

Myself as a customer of Team Group: I am greatly dissapointed with this ram. I have been through two motherboards A8N32 and an Ultra-D revision 3 because of this memory. I have been using your recommended settings since your initial thread topic on them. I will say it again, it has been failing memtest and superpi 8m consistently at 250mhz 3-3-3-8 1T.Quote:

However, All in all, I hope that Team Group likes to take care of a dissatisfied customer. Especially myself who just picked up another set of your PC4800 ram.
Again, I apologize for any misunderstanding.

NO need buddy.:toast:

OPB speaks a bit broken/mixed up english, I don't think he intended to offend you.Quote:

Ben @ Tankguys is going to send me over a set of the PC4800 Apollo series. I need a guaranteed 280 to 290, so 1GB - TCCD is where I will need to be. Thanks for everyones help in these forums. If OPD and I cannot work the kinks out of my sticks, I plan on sending them back to have Team take a look at them. Again, thanks a lot for all of the help guys!
Dom
Dominick32: If there's anybody in this world who can help you get your sticks running @ optimal speeds, it's OPB. Quite frankly, he has more knowledge about DDR and it's timings in his little finger than most of us (including me) can ever dream of having ;) . The problem is just conveying that knowledge sometimes.........Even I have problems understanding his CHINGLISH at times (although I'd like to think that I'm well versed in that language as well :p: )Quote:

or you could buy 4 single sticks, take the best two and return the other two for a full refund..Quote:
