that is the exact setup I want to rock:up: those 5690's look nice but it definately looks like you could drop some volts or raise clocks a bit and leave them there:D
what kind of memory are you running?

ok i just bought an SR-2
I put dual Cpus E5520 on it connect the 8xpins connector + the 24pin
2 dimms of ram in each CPU (on the closed RED dimm socket)
1 4850 ATI GPU and NO POST
not even the post messanger shows anything!!
ive tryied out with one cpu (with Pin mode) but non of them working
ive checked the CPU on other motherboard and the RAM and they work perfectly
Any ideas what is the problem??
PLZ help!!!
For all those who didn't saw SR2 Watercooling (3x480mm rads) case already, here is one picture.

I've been in Egypt for 2 weeks, and got a lot of desert sun :D Needed it all when it's -10'C in Oslo. ;)
After that got busy with holidays, but now I'm back :)
You pushed that poor baby with 10 H LinX and killed it the moment I turned my back? What do you think killed it?
I hooked up the floppy power connector that people say to hook up to help w/ USB dropping out.
EVGA still hasn't shipped out my replacements either. http://smiliesftw.com/x/tear.gif
I see. I have connected that too. Did you connect it the wrong way?
I ask because it's possible to connect it the wrong way too.
When I tried to connect it, the MB was inside that crowded case and I couldn't see the connection clearly, so I managed to connected it the wrong way. After that, I could smell some burned stuff at first boot-up. But my trusty AX1200W turned itself off at once. I guess the MB wouldn't survive without that fast shut- down. It works fine now, after I connected it the right way.
EDIT: Forgot to say this. The new All CPU Meter gadget is updated for 24T now. I've just installed it and it's working fine on SR-2.

Pretty sure I installed it right. If I installed it backwards the 'key' on the back of the floppy connector should have stopped me from fitting it in place unless I used a lot of force. And the board powers on, it just 'FF's right away.
:) hey guys any newer bios than bios A50 for sr-2 out yet ?
Nope A50 is the last one, but it has been out for a good while, hopefully we will see a new one in Jan.
Been playing around with the board to night and its amazing how stable it is.
First attempt at 4,5 GHz with mem at 1800 MHz Cas7
CPU's and mobo are watercooled with watertemp at 22C.

Gonna play around with it some more to night:D
^^ That looks really good. Those x25-multi comes really handy with these CPUs :)
But still can't beat my good old flippy-floppy Wprime=2.322 run tho :D.
http://img.techpowerup.org/100730/Capture063.jpg
Well with the 26 multi I can beat your score:p:
Man I love my CPU's :D

is there any way to keep turbo enabled but disables speedstep throttling? Really hurts losing that extra multiplier on a slow chip.. :(
edit
RMClock does the trick.. hope the next bios fixes the speedstep issue.
Also i've noticed bumping up PCI-E clocks a bit allows higher QPI. Made it into windows at 211 with 108mhz PCI-E. Cant do that with pci-e @ stock. Havent touched anything other than VTT and Vcore yet voltage wise.
Finally after 6 weeks of battling these boards I seem to have a stable machine. I've settled on 3.7GHz w/ these E5649s. Since I killed my last board by using the floppy power connector (or so I think) I refuse to use it on this one. So 195bclk is my limit before USB starts to kick out on me.
I also have a pair of E5645's on the way for my second system.

You can't give up there, LOL, you know it, but this baby is a monster even at 3.7GHz anyways.
I manged to conned the floppy-power connector the wrong way, once, but now I've connected all optional connections, including the floppy-power, and never had any problem with that.
This MB is so huge that it can get problems with supplying juice to every corner, so it's a good idea to connect them.
I noticed the USB-fall out/limitations without the floppy-power connector too. But now it's running with many heavy USB-devices, including a Webcam, TVtuner, MS Game controller, Logitech G35 Headset, etc .. @BCLK203 x 19 without any problems :)
Nice to see everyone is happy..:D
Anyone here knows what the JCFP header does? It's locatede in the low left corner of the board just by the bioschip.
This board really is a monster and these chips too MM:D
I'm really enjoing them.:yepp:
Playing around a little to night.:)
Well you beat my 2.203s time at 4567..
Thanks Movieman and Sam:)
Have any of you guys any idea what that header by the bioschip is for?
There's no info on it anywhere.
I'll take a shot at your CB 11.5 reckord tomorrow Sam:up:
Had forgot all about CB 11.5
First attempt on CB 11.5 with 200 BCLK far away from your reckord Sam :ROTF:
Still need a lot of tweaking I guess :p:
What are your 24/7 stable clocks?
Yeah, you bet, you are far away. Go back and work more. :)
There is always good to get a good challenge. It may keep you awake a couple of nights, but usually will result in more research that gives better OC etc .. Just Ask MM about the chess-test, he knows all about it. :)
