Yeah nice, they released F4 Final: http://tw.giga-byte.com/Support/Moth...me=GA-965P-DS3
I upgraded through Windows using @Bios off the CD , not problems at all.Quote:

f3 final for ds4 :) http://tw.giga-byte.com/Support/Moth...me=GA-965P-DS4
I wonder if the "bad-oc ,clear CMOS" thing is fixed from F4e BETA to F4?
Good to see GB really crankin' out the new BIOS's.
ooooo nice :)
anybody tested it?
nothing special on the DS3
i think they just finalized whatever tweaks and fixes they were working on in the other betas.
so.. onward and upward. will await the next bios for better and higher fSB suport for this lame Intel chipset when using 9x multi or higher.
*still can't run 950mhz or higher dram*
i have same components than you except the E6600 in retail version and i can do superpi 32M 495 4/4/4/12 with only 2.1v with my 6400HZ ( i use 3:5 ratio )Quote:

Board came with F2 bios, I had no problems booting up with my D9 team 3-4-4 667 mem thank goodness!
Just updated to the F4 on the GB website and about to get clocking! :woot:
and for me F4 suxxx badly
i cannot make it boot as i did on F4c 400x7 stock all 4-4-4-12
it makes my cpu go at 1.4V at 'stock vcore' and at 1.325 it doesn't boot :|
i was really worried and pettrified when i got no signal on my CRT... hopefully cmos reset helped...
this one is not for me ;)
why does it say august 11th..it wasnt released until the 14th, makes me wonder if it's even newer than f4e..
this bios played havoc with my system temps. Even temp reading on my thermal probes went up my at least 10 degrees i think it was because the VCORE A went up from 1.2V on F4E to 1.4V on F4 and there was no increase in the overclock potential
Well i was able to easily hit 1000mhz on my memory @ 2.5 timing with +.5v vdimm.
Althought I am not sure what performance increase I have gained with this.. 3dmark2006 gives me same results. It is dual prime stable though and can do a 1M pi in 18s.
How did you get your OCZ pc6400 to post in your DS3? I can't get past the bios screen with mine. This memory will run at over 800mhz in P5WD2 just fine.Quote:

still doesn't boot in my system with f4 bios and default settings, will try uping the vDimm with generic ram and see if it at least fixed my stability problems when I do have the system booting using gskill. system is still 100% stable with generic ddr2 667 512mb ram though
system:
MoBo: Gigabyte-p965-ds3 - Retail bios f4(final)
Processor: Intel Allendale e6400 - Retail
Power: Enermax Liberty 500w - Retail
HDD: WD Caviar SE16 WD2500KS - OEM
DVD-Rom: ASUS DVD-ROM Drive Model DVD-E616A2 BK - OEM latest firmware 1.03
Video: SAPPHIRE 100149L Radeon X1900XT - Retail Catalyst 6.7 drivers
-edit- system freezes running memtest after about 25% of the ram is checked, although it says 0 errors at that time. Is that a Ram problem or other? Memtest help isnt too specific. +.4v and had 1 instance running checking "all unused ram". now running 2 instances of memtest checking 300 each with +.5v and has made it to 600% each with no problems :/
-edit2- at default, +.1v +.2v system does reboot loop never showing video. at +.3v system freezes at post when checking ram. at +.4v system is windows stable but freezes during memtest and 3d gaming. at +.5v memory appears to finally be stable.. Memory is rated as 2.0-2.1v but assuming 1.8v base for my system, it isnt running stable until 2.3v. Sendiing ram off to be RMAed and hopefully fixes issue
link to f4 ds4 bios?
Official DS3 bios F4 seems to be better with my RAM. Still testing though
