I really liked that part of school and the practical training for my study. Too bad not many companies still use conventional lathes :(

Sir, you are very correct, this is what I've started doing. At the time of the picture, the lense was really new and I felt obliged to have it at f1.8, just because I could. :p: It's just a lot of fun having the background incredibly blurred. However, the picture is extremely soft as it is, and the shirt is out of focus whilst his hair is in focus, so it's obviously not the optimal way to take the shot. Next time it'll be around f8. :)
Anyways, here's a photograph:

I had real trouble making the picture look good without any editing, the sun was right in front of me, so I did some editing and I love the vintage look. Can't wait to get a Nikon D90 and a new standard zoom, should be fun. :)

I came across this site this morning and figured all you photography people would love it. The site is about pinhole photography with long exposure times, up to 6 months. Enjoy.
http://www.pinholephotography.org/SSGB%20Page.htm
NateP posted something about Pinhole a few months ago, and he made one himself with a tutorial, I think its a great experiment to try.
Thank you ANP, thats great hearing from you ;)
Its the default 18-55 IS lens, did some thorough post processing (sharping, repainted the stars) because it's a 30s exposure and it was VERY windy at that viewpoint. first picture was around 4AM, second at like 5AM. friggin' cold at that too. but don't think i added the stars like that, they were at the exact same positions, just elliptical so i removed like half of them ;)
your shot is great too, using a grayscale filter?
this is a panorama shot of the bromo calderra, attention its QUITE big because i didnt wanted to ruin it more as its already quite resized.

This is Tiesto at the Energy 09 party in Hallenstadion during the Street Parade in Zürich, Switzerland. A huge rave with tens of thousands of other people in the stadium, David Guetta had just played for 2 hours and Fedde Le Grand was coming up after Tiesto. All of the pictures that I took look extremely bad because of the Blackberry Bold's horrible camera, except this one which looks rather good, I find. The quality is horrible but I think it fits to the Tetris-graphics running in the background.

Guys, Today is one of the Most Celebrated Sacred Festival related with God called "Janmastmi" in my Country.
So a Happy Janmastmi to You and you Family.
What you are seeing in this picture are kids making Pyramids (climbing on each other) to reach a high spot where the grown ups hang a Pot made of mud in which there are sweets, chocolates, butter (the God celebrated here used to like Butter a lot) and many fruits, the kids have to reach that pot and break it and share the feast, in Bigger metro cities, the Pots are hung as high as 6-7 stories high, where you can see the biggest pyramid formations in the World.
