So are you telling me that the "rule" is VTT max = VCore + 0.1 ?
thats ok it all about messing with the volts (but been carefull aswell) at the same time i wish someone would help me becuse im overclocking my memory by about 78mhz but i dont know if it will reduce the life span a lot or not i hope my rig will last me about 4-5 years and hopefully i will be getting a gtx 295 soon cant wait :)
Could you tell me about MCH Frequency Latch and System Memory Multiplier ?
I can't understand them.
I only know about dividers.
1:1 Synchronous mode ( eg FSB: 400 --> MEMORY 800)
Asynchronous using other dividers (1/2. 4/5 etc)
you too mate
i'm on my way to the 4900 :D

Managed to get 1600mhz somewhat stable at 1.96v bios set, lowered the ref's to 0.71 (easytune set). Tried 1700mhz cas 8, but was impossible almost.
Wow this thread has really grown since I was here last....... glad to see it's still live and kicking.
I'm working with a Q9650 and a UD3P. I'm asking if there are any special or commonly used settings for high FSB (500+).
I'm at 9x500 right now but can't go any higher. Haven't really changed any settings other than:
CPU PLL
CPU Termination
DRAM Voltage
MCH Core
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Maybe these will help you a little bit.
This one is good for up to 540 FSB for me.Code:Robust Graphics Booster - FAST

wow, your almost there. I am not even close yet. 32m @ 5g's would be sweet though. especially on air. I need to get busy.
I raised vcore a notch. (That is both cores no waz.)

This is from research conducted. In this case, I believe it was advice given by LSDMEASAP at the Tweaktown Gigabyte support site. I regard LSDMEASAP as the the Subject Matter Expert on this and othe Gigabyte boards. Other folks on that site are good as well, but he is, to me, the most credible source I have found.
first test with old batch Crucial Ballistix 2x1GB but i think i have to tune the timmings better, its my first test with 2x1GB in this mobo
sorry i added the memset screen later as i forgot
i gave 2,3Vdimm to get that speed with a fan over them

Sergio:
Nice man but only 2.3v on D9? They are teasing you from the slot saying "that's all you got old man" ;))))))
I think, you can gou about 2.5V with additional cooling;)today I was testing Crucial Ballistix with D9 with 2.5V but it didn't fit in ASUS Commando and it went with 620MHz (effective 1240MHz)
I've finally took the leap and got myself a EP45.. I'm hoping you guys could give me some oc pointers regarding this board.. I have the EP45-UD3L. as it's a cheap build with backup parts, and then will become my parents as they need one.
for now, here's what I've got on this. UD3L, with a Q6600 1.21 VID L737, with OCZ Blade PC2-8500, and it seems to be holding up just fine. I'm pretty impressed with the EP45 so far, I've managed on only my second try to get 3.33 Ghz 1112 MHz RAM with 1.21 vcore and 2.15 on ram and it's looking pretty stable with OCCT so far. I'm impressed.
New BIOS:
GA-EP45T-UD3R - F7a
GA-EP45-UD3P - F10b
GA-EP45-UD3R - F10c
No info.
Seems to have new AHCI ROM.....
Guys, where's the motherboard temperature die on the board? Just wondering.....
I got a new video card and my motherboard temps went up like 2C, seems like the motherboard temp die is somewhere near the video card and getting some of the heat. Thanks!
BTW, nice OC's Sergio and Radaja and coop!!:up::up:
thanks Xzulu. the temp sensor
seems to be near the SB area,so the makes
sense that temps went up a bit
Finally got 4.3 stable- 50 loops of intel burn, all day prime 95 but want more
Can boot and run at 4.5, just cant pass any stress tests
Heres where I'm at now:
cpu 9x500
vcore 1.375
term 1.34
ppl 1.5
ref .848
mch
core 1.4
ref .888
Mem 333, 2.0b standard
5/5/5/15
2.12
1.06
all others auto
heres my system:

nb, mosfets all have upgraded hs/fan
muskin 1066- 4x2g=8g ( 3g in ramdisk) w/ hsf
corsair 750w

2 wd 640g black in raid 0
windows 7 64 bit
tired of waiting on the ocz 1200 blades to come in, dunno why i cant get a good clock now at 2.0b
i know i need to do something about cooling, not in the budget atm- intel burn is tickling 90 now with ambient 28-29 here, nb 93 loaded
ive gone up, down and sideways in bios, im at a loss where to go
all the big kids can get 4.5- i wanna run it too- help!!
thx
enough with IB and P95. if I saw 90 (70) I'd freak. I have a suggest for 9x500. Bump cpu ref up a notch then another if that don't work. Keep all else the same. Maybe mch a couple notches too. (1.44?) Quite a load of ram there.
*********I was going over the above and was thinking of what I was using. Don't do that. For 1.34vtt try cpu ref of .903 or up a notch. Then your mch ref seems high already. Try .808 You may need more mch core like I mentioned due to ram. Which brings me to here. You won't be able to boot with 333, 2.0 with 5/5/5/15. You will need 4/4/4/12. Also 400 will be best start.
