If raid is really turned off then you shouldnt get that message its not a bug with my bios it might be a MSI/Raptor problem but you would need to get info from someone else with a raptor about that.Quote:

I can run them on 240 2.5 3 2 5 with 2.7v in synchro with my venice 3000+
240*9 ram on 200Mhz in bios: prime 95 OK
But i want to run my CPU on 2700Mhz, so with 150 divider on bios:
300*9 ram on 150 in bios: no boot
300*9 ram on 133 in bios: boot + prime OK
If i boot on 200*9, ram on 200Mhz and then in Win i use a64 tweaker to use the 150 divider and then 300*9 with clockgen it's OK but prime failed!!!
What can i do?
Nevermind. I just answered my own question. Looks like it's gonna be the mushkin xp4000 2gb kit that just came out. I've seen 265 @2.5-3-2-5 1T timings for it at 2.8V. Definetly looks like a winner. I think they have ce-6 chips, but I'm not sure. Anyways.... :toast:Quote:

any fix to this ?
Its cold boot problem. Because your HTT is high so it wont cold boot and because the newer bios's dont have safe mode it wont boot till cmos is cleared. There is no fix only thing to do really is lower HTT before you turn off pc. Or Overclock in windows.Quote:

Hey thats not a bad idea.Quote:

Might be able to get some more RAM bandwidth yet.
And it seems I need to update my BIOS page =)
hey sideeffect is there a way to change tref values when u mod a bios???
Yes i think so if you have a bios saviour or spare chip you want to try ? I can also force Read Preamble, Dynamic idle cycle counter, DQS Slew Value, DQS Slew Control and DLL forcing.Quote:

Well i think super pi really likes tight timings so if you do drop the bandwidth but use 2.5-2-2 you might get a faster super pi score but then it wouldnt be so fast for games.
- On a side note i just took off the northbridge heatsink/fan while reinstalling my motherboard and omg it has the smallest amount of thermal grease i have ever seen ever it barely even qualifies. Just a tiny amount in the center so I fixed that going to see if it helps my overclock at all.
Im pretty sure the info is in here sillysider somewhere between page 1 and 148 :wiggle:
 :rotf: Ssiders trying to get 4ghtz :D nice oc by the way mate.Quote:

The guy that did the mod said "Vcore is controlled by ISL6559, so mod is easy, as usual. Connect Pin#10 and Pin#15 by 50k~25kOhm VR." Which is referring to the picture of the vmod on page 1 of this thread. You just have to count from the bottom up, which makes sense.
i was going to sell this board but i decided to do the vmods vht and vdd with all voltage check points.. lets see if i can get this badboy up to 400htt :D

I think after Christmas it's time for a new board...and processor....and memory...and graphics card...oh, time for a whole new system! :D
Might keep the Neo2 as a backup though...mod it a bit.
@msimax
What size is your NB radiator? I want to replace my original (& loud) with a passive one. No problems with overheating?
anybody know what the large FET next to the IDE connectors is (under the MSI logo in msimax's image)?
it gets damn hot!!!
K R thunking of heatsinking it - good or bad idea?
Mine is sinked, I havent noticed anything strange, or higher overclocks with it, just keeps it cooler.
I'm alittle late to this, so the newer bios (I'm running an MSI posted beta atm...) its a PITA to clock high HTT with 10x and 9x Mutliplier? Would my 3700+ Possibly get me higher HTT, or yuo think it will be a no go?... My board is also a Taiwanese version :/Quote:
