I've got a 3770k Malay L204B337 on an XSPC Raystorm/D5/RX360 w/Coolaboratory Liquid Ultra under and over the IHS and am testing for stability with IBT at 4.9GHz right now. Keep having to push voltages for IBT stability though, looks like I'm going to need somewhere around 1.45-1.46V vcore with everything else on auto. This is on an Asrock Z77 Extreme 4, fixed voltage, LLC level 1, HT disabled, C-states disabled. Anyone have any thoughts on other voltages to tweak like VTT, PLL, or VCCsa? I'd like to hit 5.0 but I really don't want to run 1.55V to do it. 4.8GHz was stable at 1.35 so to see an increase of a full tenth of a volt for a mere 100MHz doesn't look promising.
Thanks in advance
I have a new L223B781 I picked up from MicroCenter 2 days ago and its pretty bad. High volts to even boot into windows at 4.8Ghz. Gonna buy another one on Friday, they had 2 different batches.
Finally got things sorted, turns out my RAM was running with too low timings (despite being rated for the timings at which it was running) so I backed CL down to 10 and upped speed to 2200 to compensate. Results:
4.9GHz, 1.44V :

5.0GHz 1.52V :

I just got back from MicroCenter, picked up my 3rd 3770K and this one could be good. Booted into Windows at 5Ghz 1.4v LLC High on MVG. I bought an L223B781 a few days ago and couldnt even boot into Windows above 47X and my first chip couldnt boot into windows above 48X not matter what voltage so this is my best chip so far.
Have to run out but will start testing when I get back and report back.
Seems you just have an average chip thats all. I performed no bios tweaks. All I did was clear cmos, "Load Gamer Profile" set 50x, memory to 2400Mhz, load Hynix Loose Profile, set vcore to 1.40v, vdimm to 1.65v and CPU PLL to 1.73v.
I am now running Hyper Pi 32M at 1.39v in bios at 5Ghz.

How do you load that "Hynix Profile" or "Samsung Profile?" Is that a modded bios? I can't seem to find the option in the bios of the MVG.
For Maximus V Gene:
Extreme Tweaker menu > DRAM Timing Control > Memory preset
Kingston Hyper x 1600 what profile can use in Maximus V Gene?
hersounds
on the manual here on OC of the M5G theres a way to recon IC on the chips
i uploaded for ya here

I was only showing that I was in windows at 5Ghz at 1.39v as I am very happy I can do that.:) I only had a few minutes before I had to run out so I didnt have time to run any tests, I closed the program and went out. My first two chips couldnt even get into windows at 5Ghz no matter what voltage so I am already very happy with this chip.
I just got home and going to run some tests now. Will posts results shortly.

Old proc, new board.
MVE with 3770k on water @5.4Ghz 1.4v in bios, spi 32M benchable. Couldn't get the 54x multi to work on the MIVE even with higher volts. MVE went through right away. Win 7 4C8T 5.4Ghz needs .05v more.

Awesome CPU Alex!
Hello,
i have Gskill Trident X 2666mhz and would like to know the voltage for VCCSA and CPU PLL because if i go under 1.73V on PLL = BSOD
My VCCSA is at 1.15V in auto
thanks
