Hi guys...
Someone has tested the UD3 with Thuban? (1055t or 1090t)... it's just arrived to my hardware store so i wanna know before i buy it.
Thanks guys :)

I'll test it for you. I have a 1090T on the shelf. It's on Gigabyte's CPU compatibility list though, so it's sure to work.
Thuban CPUs work fine on the 990FXA-UD3 as I expected, Dahaka:

I would expect all 990FX and 990X boards to support Thuban.
So would I. They all have Thuban on their CPU support lists. That wasn't the point though. He wanted someone to actually test it so he could feel safe in his expenditure, so I did.
you are a very nice guy particle for doing that.
Thanks Particle, it's nice to see that thuban runs well con the UD3.
My 1055T it's running at 3.9GHz 1.37v for 24/7.
Regards from Chile.
Yep, works fine. My 24/7 clocks, beats bulldozer in most tasks so why not use this instead of bd.
Temps : -29.9
Os : Win8 DP

When it blows up i will replace it with my BD.
Seems like a nice motherboard to have some nice bench session.
I think that UD3 will be my next motherboard, but until the end of the month i will preserve my actual motherboard.
Regards.
I got me a pair of OCZ3FXE20004GK and I have big issues with them. They are 2.0v and i have tried 2.0-2.135v. The BIOS (F6 on 990FXA-UD7) gets totally screwed up with the timings. Sometimes timings becomes like 8-4-4-8 or other wierd settings. During running bench, the timings showned by cpu-z 1.58.8 can change from 8-8-8-24-32 to 2-16-2-22-0.
Is that similar to your issues, or you could not even post?
In general, have anyone ran benchmark with Bulldozer and +2000MHz on the memory? Any special setting needed to run higher frequency?
when i use a gigabyte UD5 990fxa (bios F3 - F6) I hit 4GHz and nb 2600, all the default condition. but when i use my 770 gigabyte can hit 4GHz with the same vCore and 2800 nb all the default condition. all the test using the same proc (X2 555BE).

and i tried to unlock even if only 3 cores. on my UD5 990fxa hit 4GHz at 1.425v vCore and even then test using linx 25loops, but never use prime blend stable. but using 770 gigabyte I can hit 4GHz at 1.375v and pass prime blend even though only 1 hour.

whether the character of the 9xx chipsets are not so good for AM3 proc??
I'm sorry if my english bad....
Do any of the new Gigabyte AM3+ boards have ECC ram support in the bios? (i.e. under
DRAM Configuration" there should be an entry "DRAM ECC enable = Turn on ECC" )
I would especially be interested in the 970A-UD3P model.
Thanks,
Bruce
As always, ymmv. You're using different memory than I am--I was using some Mushkin Blackline CL7 DDR3-2000 @ 1.65V that hasn't even been for sale in over a year. It worked reasonably well on the 990FXA-UD3 with BIOS F5, but I think I had to relax the timings from 7-8-10-27 to 8-10-10-27 to get it stable(ish?). I wasn't using any secret settings though, I'd just set it to the DDR3-1333 multiplier and leave it on auto so that most timings were set reasonably instead of really loose, then I set timings to manual and adjusted the first four, and finally I put the multiplier up to 1866 and increased HTT enough to get DDR3-2000.
I only had major problems on older BIOS revisions. No magic buttons or settings were required to get the memory working on F5B or F5 (final).
I haven't seen the option in the BIOS for my 990FXA-UD3 so far, but I haven't been looking for it. I'll try to remember to take a look for you the next time I reboot the system.

Why did you skip the FPU V8 test ?
I don't skip vp8 test but I forget it to post :p

When are we going to get a bios that gives an option to disable TDP limit for BD? (ud5 my case)

A bit off-topic, but do you need that high CPU-NB voltage and CPU voltage for thoose clocks? CPU-NB +0.100v and CPU +0.150v don't work?
i see the review that 990FXA-UD7 has revision 1.1 mobo with improved vcore loadline
Anyone have the UD7 with F6 BIOS?!
I want teste it, because on the F5 with PII 1075T a set the Vcore to 1,5v and they show me 1,47 and on LOAD they drop for 1.37v.
And I cant find the LLC in BIOS...
