@ Andre..your 56X is good too:)
A few more SB to test this weekend and I will play with 990FX UD7...waiting for FX-8150
can not Regt find out of blck on this motherboard, I had it very easy with asrock xtreme6 =107 blck np
has 2 2600K one can x54 and nr 2 will x57 ,would be great to get a handle on blck on the motherboard here
PCI-E voltset where in bios ? my SSD OCZ AGILITY Disk :banana::banana::banana: up when I want to play with blck,or overclock my GFX too high
i had the chance to test an Asus P8P67 LE and it comes ONLY with vcore OFFSET jeeeze, as it was a build for a friend i have to study all, at first i couldnt get the jumps on volts but later it went good, i could also bench it to x54, and i left it stable at x48
so well i learnt another method
Sergio,
you have 2 Intel SSD,right?
Firmware 1.92 is out.

I can only upload somewhere if you want.
Btw,
today is updated v.1.01.40.
Edit:
OK,uploading now....
Here is:

Use 7-zip or hjsplit to join the files.
I was able to get it downloaded so I could upload it for download if need be. Let me know. It took like 3-4 hours, haha.
Sorry guys if anyone was waiting. The cpu I picked up was only a 53X CPU. I will now sell that one and buy another one. I will probably give up soon and wait for SB-E
I haven't bumped any voltages for my agility 3 Raid 0 as well, but I'm only on 5Ghz.
Btw yesterday I manually set the pll voltage to 1.75v and my 5ghz is stable at 1.42v in bios with 75% LLC (havent crashed after 4-5hrs of dragon age 2, which it does if its unstable.) :D fingers crossed though.
Yes,v.1.01.40 dated 02.Sep 2011.

just dropped my Costa Rica batch on the MIVE, this are vcore hunger now i can say my MALAY is kind golden boots at x56 on 1,586, this dont even enter win at 1,65
at x56 enter wins but freezes with black screen, so i went to push bclk at x55 and went good (using turboevo)
here's a screen

One quick question guyz. Do you think that the MIV Gene-Z can be comprared with MIVE-Z? It will run a 2600k and a single gpu. Is the Gene going to achieve the same overclovking with the Extreme?
Thanx for the reply, the reason i ask is because of the price difference. Gene-Z is 170e, Extreme-Z is 350e.
nice chip sergio...
here's my Costa 3103B306 on MIVE-Z
bootable at 56X on water, but on 2C/2T only

Maximus-Extreme turbo parameter ? set
This thread suitable for the Z68 model also?
Cool :)
Well got mine yesterday. But mine is the z version but it looks to be the same. And all i have is elpida ram, which it runs but acts real weird though. Guess i will have to get some different ram now. What is the normal voltage for around 4.8ghz -5.0ghz? As i'm not sure if the ram is causing most of it and/or i got a bad cpu. That needs a ton of voltages to get it to not blue screen or not boot at all after the windows logo. Thoughts or suggestions to try as i am all ears, running out of ideas now.
shutting down right after the windows logo, or shutting down right before the windows logo (then restarting) is a sign of ram being troublesome.(for me at least)
All i have are hypers also... if i tighten timings or increase frequency while not adjusting voltage in relation... system acts weird just like yours.
Here are my sticks
Attachment 119789
are you on water or air? if you are.. average chips need 1.44-1.488v to be stable @ 4.8-5.0ghz
subzero will require less 1.37-1.41v
Another sign that it's the ram is if system freezes with no bsod.
I suggest isolating the problem by running ram@ 1600MHz, or what ever is bellow rated specs... then focus on cpu to figure out what it's stable @
It is stopping after the windows logo, basically just sits there. Black screen and does nothing. Well glad to know it is just not me. I will lock the ram and just try the cpu then. Once i find the max on it i will then figure out the ram or trade it and get some that like sandy bridge then. Thanks
mmm i would say its the chip mate some strong IMC than others
i have 2 x56's
one i can boot easy at 1,585 x56 2/2 the other i cant even at 1.65 on bios and does that windows logo full waiting to desktop and black screen...so i went to x55 and just pumped 101.8 bclk and 5600+ i tried at 1600 CL9 so i dont think its memory
u can see them here
http://hwbot.org/forum/showthread.php?t=16541&page=49
cheers !
Sergio
i guess it could be the chip
when i was playing with my ram... i tried booting 6-5-5 @ 1600MHz... i got to the windows logo, after animation was over, motherboard restarted.. then i waited and pressed enter when it asked me to continue windows normally, got to windows animation again.. afterwards shutdown again then restart. I changed tRCD to 6 and it booted up and went into windows just fine.
My situation seems a little different then yours and Killer_K so i guess it can be his chip
thanks for catching that :)
2600k batch #: 3104C269
max multi x56, max mhz wall tbd. . .
water
Attachment 119794
pretty good chip there l0ud_sil3nc3
can it do 4c/4t 3d bench?
I think i am going back to my x58 platform. I'm honestly not that impressed with this 1155 socket. Still buggy in my honest opinion. Anyone that wants a chip and board let me know. Thanks
I would agree if you get a good cpu and it overclocks very well. And have ram that doesn't cause issues with your board. But i will order some different ram and pick up a few more chips to see what the deal is. Thanks
LOL @ all the "+1, ++1" comments. You could have put in a real comment if you was actually so happy with it. Just putting in that comment really doesn't help much in a forum.
Edit: Seems to be the chip. It just doesn't scale good past 4.8ghz without shooting a lot of volts to it. So i just need to try some more chips out it seems now. Thanks
killer_k we just defend our thread as its for that NOT for X58, u said you dont see dif but we all see them clear, as owi stands elpida its not the taste of SB so try some other RAM, and also u have read here that some IMC on chips are bad
its obvious we will put +1 as we all like this board and SB and we all move to for the reason its cooler, faster and fun
cheers
Sergio
Well I know what you are saying about getting a good chip, but if you are running hypers on sb they need to be good (i.e. gtx2 or dom gt 7-8-7) in order to run 2133+, if you are going to keep them run them at 1600 6-6-6 or 1866 8-8-8 if possible.
It sucks that most of the sb memory that is good for benching is oos everywhere, but see if you can find any of the 2133 8-9-8 or 7-10-7 kits (or 2200 version) then jump on them and you will be one happy camper.
As for finding a good cpu, man that has been a lot of work since january but it is pure luck and eventually you will find a good one. What exactly are you looking for in a chip? stable 24/7 clocks or a bencher?
Thank you for understanding. It is nice to see someone knows what i am talking about. Like i said it was more my chip then anything and i know the elpida ics wasn't helping. So i will either trade that ram and do a combo on my x58 r3e perhaps. Since they do so well on it. And move forward from there. Thanks
any compatibily issues between MIVE and Thermalright Archon air cooler? anyone using them?
we all understand mate its just you need to read some pages back, its like common thing that some ppl dont read and just post on last page without looking back, this is xtremesystems its FULL of articles, posts, screens, discoverings, guides, and all comes from our experiences from our money to buy and test things and put them here so others can also learn and we also get feedback to keep on learning...its just the way u entered the thread that was bit rude, i just dont see ANY point to go to X58 cauz u just got a bad chip mem or whatever, you can also read that we all tested various chips to get what we want and this mobo its just the best thing i ever had
regards
Sergio
I read through all the pages here as i always do. And you can see where some are using elpida ics and they work fine for them. Plus i'm in here reading everyday through articles and post. So don't think i am just some new guy posting trying to get attention or flaming post.
I have both systems so going to either isn't a big deal. But if you think the 1155 isn't buggy and is 100% solid, then that is the way you feel. I still see issues with the boards and uefi settings, etc. I may not post about reviews, benchmarking and hardware. But i know what is going on with my stuff and the ram i use. I was hoping i could make the ram work until i found some ram that i would like to purchase.
The ram works fine up until 2133mhz but it does blue screen here and there. I'm sure if i took the time to adjust each setting i could cure it. But i'm running 1,866mhz and not having to worry about blue screens and crashing now. But just because i have a different opinion or don't see something the way you do. Doesn't mean i am being rude. The forum works off of people opinions, thoughts and input on stuff.
Where i come from opinions, thoughts and suggestions are always welcome. And if someone states what is on their mind then that makes them a real man. As i don't like for people to stand in the back just saying stuff and not trying to stand up for what they say. Either way, I thought i would clear that up, so everyone would know where i stand. If i say something that makes you mad or you don't like, then that is just me i'm going to say whatever i feel like i need to say about you , a item or anything else for that matter.
It is just me, so that is all i can really say. But life goes on and please continue the thread. I will post anything else i find on my issue here. Thanks
i saw many ppl use hypers, i have a kit but unfortunately i sold it, i found that after trying lots of kits winners where
mushkin 1600 6-8-8-24 1T 2x2GB they go easy to 2250 for bench and daily 2133 C7
mushkin 2133 9-10-11-28 2x4GB they go up to 2200+ not touching a volt
patriot xtreme 2000 9-11-9-27 2x4GB they go up to 2175 not touching a volt, actually i have 16GB of this at 2133 9-11-9-27 1T 1.65V at 5GHz HT
as i told before not a chip equal to another not even a mobo mine does 108 bclk at 108 x 52, my friend's cant go above 106 etc
maybe its good u try this cheap kit i told u and you will love them its like 82 dols for an amazing and flexible kit of 8GB u can bench or whatever with it
http://www.ramexperts.com/ddr3/perfo...op-memory.html
there u have them
and here its my screens using them at x56

Thanks i'm installing xp for some benchmarks and i will report back. And if i upset you or anyone else for that matter then i apologize. But i'm going to keep the board though. Still working on the chip as i found something odd with it. I will check out the links. Thanks
I too have problems running Elpida Hyper with Spi32M, other than that its all fine.
Strange that this tiny bench can kill stability of those nice ICs.
Hope Asus will make the diference on P67 mine field, and bring some nice BIOS suport for all Elpida hyper ICs.
Guys i installed another Intel SSD 80GB X25M G2 now i got 3 on RAID0, i just HDDERASE and load the image of W7x64 SP1 and GAMES look at this speeds god !!!

Received my MIVE last week. Installed and work like a charm :) Looks very nice too !
As for now, im running my 2600k 4.5ghz with 1.33v, passed 10x LinX without issue. Ill work for better volts as soon as i can and ill try to reach some good clocks for gaming.
You guyz leave alot of settings on AUTO (like PLL and others ) or you manual alot ?
http://infodupat.com/MIVE_023.JPG
I leave a lot on auto except the Vcore ofcourse. I hit 5Ghz for about 2 hours then said i don't need it and clocked it back to 4.4Ghz.
Thnks Andre !
vcore and temp improved abit with spread spectrum enabled.

Hiya,
Wondered if anyone could help please?
I'm currently at 4.8Mhz and trying to get to 5.0Ghz...
I've tried the following (anything else not mentioned is on Auto)
Vcore: 1.45v
VCCIO: 1.08
CPU PLL: 1.86
LLC: 75 %
@ 100 x 50
I can boot into windows 7, but as soon as I start Prime95 test, instant freeze and BSOD with 101 error code.
Any advice please?
Thanks
