im using LLC1 man so other friends check back and please before doing such comment post 3hours of prime the new one at least

thanks sergio we could just ignore him for not showing proof of stability
Here is explanation:

Every 0.01 Vcore increased, you get 100MHz more!:ROTF::rofl:
Get ready you UD7 guys, incoming!
1st P67 B3 mobo seen around here. :D

Slate wiped clean with fresh new F1 BIOS?
Well, looks like the stock F1 BIOS on the new B3 mobo is quite nicely matured for some overclocking, so far no strange quirks seen yet.

Nice! :)
Interesting. Anyone know if B2 BIOS can be used on B3 and vice versa? Cant see why the BIOS would be different, it is probably the latest official B2 BIOS renamed.
quite being such a tool. . .
wheres your screenshot? oh ya you don't have one because your :banana::banana::banana: isn't really stable.
sergio has been here for a lot longer than both you and I so show a little respect:shrug:
edit: after seeing your other post on vcore and multi, it makes much sense your a nub:rofl::ROTF::rofl::ROTF:
Using llc2 allows you to run lower idle vcore, it looks better in a cpuz screen showing 4800mhz 1.39v vs 4800mhz 1.45v. However when you put the chip under load your vcore will go above 1.4v if you are using 1.39v bios and LLC2, yet you insult someone who's chip needs roughly the same vcore load as your chip because he chose to use a different LLC option.
This is about having fun, learning, and helping others, and not about insulting people.
thanks bud the first thing he did was insulting without proof of notha
thanks mate i learnt LLC1 from you and its best LLC2 unstable and peaks really bad for 24/7 use guess for bench is ok, either way that guy insulting its really desapointing...makes me think of someone...mazda lol
cheers all
Sergio
@MacClipper: so the boards are in Singapore already. Nice...
Assume F1 new bios for the b3 stepping mb is in fact the old F7 from b2?
What's new in that bios?
Is PLL overvoltage there?
If it isn't, and that's the only bios out, well....
The place i purchased my motherboard has the new B3 model in stock now so i'm applying for an exchange.
They told me in an email that i will have to wait until april, but now they have stock for sale i'll just send it back and go a week or two without my desktop. Saves me from organising it later on.
The two P67 SATA 6GB/s ports are gray (white on B2). Does this qualifies for hardware change?:)
Also I heard they fixed the upside down "POWER" button.
lol tha power button was upside down?
lol i am wondering if the BIOSes are interchangable as well.
New beta BIOS F8f is out.
According to UD7-B3 Manual and BIOS F3a showing no PLL Override.
Sergio,great OC
how you liking SB?looks like your having fun
P.S ignore the trolls,they lie and cheat:D
Gigabyte really could be more clear on BIOS labeling lol. We have F8x and after that F8f? How does that make any sense? Also now we have different BIOS versions for B3 for some reason. On GB website F7 is the latest for B2 and there is no update for B3 so who knows what the latest version is for that.
I can be wrong, but the "x" bios are not on the classic beta bios series. There are specially designed for some features ( like the unlocked 59 multi ) Other it's A;B,C;D;E; F etc.
Did is the Gigabyte has confirmed that it intends to introduce full UEFI implementations (friendly graphical interface with 1024x768 resolution, support mouse, more languages - Asus efi bios currently support 6 languages ,Msi efi bios support 15 languages and other efi features )) to their bios the socket 1155, AM3 + and future sockets ??? because for now uses it hybrid efi bios.

quotation from page http://www.gigabyte.com/products/pro...px?pid=3761#ov
DualBIOS™ 3TB+ HDD Support (Hybrid EFI Technology)
Hybrid EFI Technology combines the benefits of GIGABYTE's mature BIOS platform including stability and compatibility with 3rd party products with 3TB+ HDD support from EFI technology, allowing GIGABYTE to offer the best of both worlds through a quick and easy BIOS update using GIGABYTE's @BIOS utility that is freely available from the GIGABYTE website.
one could surely do with the Bios would be chip version of the classic elements of efi bios and full efi bios with support for mouse-friendly graphical user interface, support for multiple languages.
i think the only reason we got F8X is because Dino requested a BIOS with 58x multi.
dupcengier yes that is their plans but no one knows how long. Either way its looking like this platform is very immature and needs to be matured before we see good BIOSes.
stasio nod32 blocks that page as virus ???
UUPS.... with F8f bios in my system GA-P67A-UD7 Windows7 not boot. Stops with black screen when try to boot windows from my Intel X25-M SSD 160gb g2 on Intel SATA 3.0 (after post "Operating System Loading...". With other bioses F7e, F8x wit the same parameters in bios (only switch from IDE to ACHI mode) there is no such problems. I have 6 Hdds, 2 of them on Intel Sata 3.0, others on marwell controllers. Plus DVD on Intel SATA 2.0. Any others have the same problems?
Just got email from Gigabyte to replace my board:
that is nice, at least they don't ask for an NDA to be signed like i heard about ASUS board at some small shop they asked teh guy to sign an NDA for ASUS.
Hello,Did Gigabyte hybrid efi bios, running in 32-bit or 64 bit mode and is immediately available to boot the system, all memory. If your motherboard bios P67 B3 operates in 16 bit mode and is available for the latter only 1 MB of memory??
Pretty sure u can mount the ifx14 horizontally..And not have any issues with the dimms...
Testing 3dm03 with gtx470sli on the UD7.
This is with the 2600k, will look for screen with 2500k.
Edit: heres a screen using the 2500k.
i,ve noticed that the f8 bioses need a couple of notches more vcore than the f7 bioses for the same overclock , about 0.01 volt , oc nub what difference did the f8 bioses make in other 3d marks , i'll whack some screens up once i install my orher cards again and compare to f7e which is the one i used
Im not sure the exact numbers but I get better scores using f8x vs f7e. "the real 7" also said his scores went up quite a bit after flashing to f8x in 3dm11. http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...postcount=1235
holy crap that is a LOT of increase for change in BIOS.
guys need your help /advice.
tomorrow I can exchange my p67a ud7 b2 for the b3 version.
I'm tempted to swop it for the MSI p67 gd65 saving euro 175,00
which I will use to buy a 23 inch Samsung led monitor.
1 I will not be using Sli ever.
2 difference GB 24 fase power MSI only 6
obviously there are a few more differences but since I'm not a
die hard overclocker.
UD7 now running standard at 4500 mhz all settings auto no problems
rock solid.
How will the Msi compare to the GB???
Sofar I have always bought GB, but you pay quite a premium
for all the GB Goodies.
p67a ud7 euro 330,00
p67a gd65 euro 150,00
looking forward to your comments.
grtz
I would check out threads on the MSI board before deciding to see if there are any major issues. I have a PX2370 Samsung LED, I like it much better than my old LCD.
Tks. I have the XL2370 and px2370 on my shortlist also the new
Iiyama ProLite E2473HDS-B1 led monitor.
Msi user have also had problems with bios settings etc., obviously
the GB materials used will be of a higher quality than the cheaper
msi 67 ud65.?
But the question is for normal pc use some gaming if the Msi will
be sufficient.
Not even sure if the retailer will accept the swop.
tks.
Did some more 3d benching tonight on the UD7. Using Giga sli 470's and Nvidia GeForce 460's
my ud7 and 2500K

I posted my review on the UD7, it would be great to hear what you guys think of it! - Be nice, it's my first motherboard review so I do realize there is plenty of room for improvements :)
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=267847
Thanks much!
First, thank you for this review. By far the best I ever found on this board yet :D
Then I would ask you (and others ^^) something : Would you recommend buying this board, knowing that there will be a Xfire of 2 6950 put on it (and no more graphic cards), or would you go for a UD4 (maybe UD5 ?) ?
Cause the only thing I find better on the UD7 is dual ethernet ports.
Thanks for your help, and for your review, which is really clear :)
For those who already swapped the motherboard for the new B3 version: did you have to give back ALL the items that were in the box, or just the motherboard without cables etc?
No worries buddy, enjoy ur new rig.. Your gonna love it !!
Sure thing, as I will update from an old E6600/8800GTX to a 2500K/2*6950 xD
I think I should see some changes... :D
This board will deliver for you for sure!!
Awesome man, thanks for the feedback! Glad you are enjoying your setup!
I'm gonna help Real 7 tonight with his memory, we've been chatting in PM since I got back.
Awesome to hear your feedback on the review, thanks much!!
UD7 has NF200, so you can run x16/x16 Xfire on it, unlike the lesser model boards that can only do x16/x8.
So it's up to you what will fit your needs really
What do you mean it wont run x16/x16? It has a NF200 and can run x16/x16 and x16/x8/x8 or even x8/x8/x8/x8
Yeah, sure it can run 16x/16x (even if it's fake, NF200 inside ^^) but I don't know a GPU that is limited by PCI-E yet xD (afaik, they don't even use all the 8x bandwith, so 16x...)
And as I said, I only want 2 cards, so 16x/8x/8x or even 8x/8x/8x/8x are useless to me :) (well in fact maybe there will be 3 cards, the 3rd being an nVidia used to do some PhysX ^^ but that doesn't count :p)
Yah like Lsdmeasap said, UD7 runs 16x/16x fine. The NF200 doubles the bw of the native 8 lane 5GT/s bus. Also the UD7 is one of a very few boards that has it’s own PCI-E bus for USB3 and SATA6G so these devices do not pull any bw from your PCI-E slots. However, if you dont care about NF200 then you def dont need to spend the extra $ on a UD7
Nice review Lsdmeasap, I like the HD benching bit. cheers

Lsdmeasap IS RIGHT ! ! ! This board blazes with crossfire , my fastest setup yet and im running 16x 8x here some proof :D

nice eldonko.
Does anyone have the bios template . . .
Cpu multi:
Vcore:
Qpi/vtt:
Memory multi:
Done hahahaha i can try and make one.
Use from UD5 here:

Got my B3. No visible difference from B2. Came with bios F1. CPU PLL Overvoltage is there so I guess it wont be beta bios option only. Vddr is tweaked 1.48V in bios reads B2-1.476V/B3-1.488V in Windows. Memory is now stable with 1.46V bios/1.464 windows. Also seems like CPU needs 0.005 less voltage for same clock stable, need more testing. CPU-Z can't read Vcore. AIDA64 reads 2.988-3.000V constantly. HWiNFO32 reads everything correctly. ET6 works.
Pretty sure (but too sleepy to verify) all the initial release bioses had PLL overvoltage even for B2.
UD7 was working ok BIOS wise before B3. UD5 got UD7's LLC settings in our B3 F1.
Can you check and see if your board retains the overclock settings after unplugging the PSU (if PLL is off, of course)? That was a new change for F1 on the B3 UD5; it used to lose it...
Can't recall CPU PLL Overvoltage in official non-beta bios.
It retains settings. Changed the CPU couple of times with PSU unplugged. Actually don't remember having this problem with B2 board and latest bioses.
can you use a slot extender or is there no room with the cuII card?
I know the pros say it does not matter anyway but for $5 usd its worth a try no?
I had the board about a week at launch before i killed it,was worth a few points in 3d benches from my quick testing with 580 sli.
:woot:
tested each vanila 570 individualy and they have just a 10mhz dif on core at same volts for 24/7 amazing cards
runing SLI 16/8

very nice andressergio
I really wanted a UD7 but I missed the preorder for it on Directron, so I ended up going with the Asus P8P67 Deluxe:shrug:
So I see you got rid of your hypers:ROTF:
that GSkill kit looks very nice, can it run 6-9-6 at 2133?
Nice platform, didnt expect it can compete with LGA775 in 3D01, but it does, and does nicely. Need some cold on the card though....
