For example I got a pretty good Qx9650 here: VID is 1.25 (one of the worst I got on the Qx's) yet it remains mega cool, does 500FSB if required and only needs 1.25Vcore for 4Ghz ops (it's daily speeds, in the summer it's at 3.6Ghz at 1.12Vcore)... I have one Xeon 3110 Vid is 1.1ish , but is an extreme hothead and needs watercooling or better above 3.6ghz as temps go over 65°C on the True (CPU is already lapped)...
VID is nice but doesn't necesarrily mean it's a golden one... but opinions differ on that matter :D
