all you have to do is download the bios, and the flash tool (unzip em both of course), shove em both on a flash drive, boot up from the zip drive and type in that command line

just stay with ur pro, it doesnt make an ounce of difference if u flast it or not. Just flashed back to pro bios and actually feel smoother...
Now I'm getting the "Bad command" error. I type it like this ATIFLASH.EXE -f -p 0 ATI290~1.BIN
I am stable up to 830/950 so far will keep testing.
Good luck Merlot!
Will the pro work in crossfire with a 2900xt?
just ran it 1680x1050 with 2xaa for about 2 hours, ran like a charm at 830/900 memory can easily take 999, i'll try more core later, i had to reinstall ati tool to get over 900 memory and i had to leave for a festival
My sweet spot w stock cooling and voltage seems to be 825. Still testing mem speeds tho not gonna go higher than 999 even if I could due to timings.
Man, I'm not complaining!
Clock speeds in Riva Tuner and Sys Tool etc always show a bit lower than whats set. I guess just offset?

Does that look right for a bootable USB flash key? CCC doesn't acknowledge my Pro as being a valid card, so I need to make it an XT.
The TechPowerUp guide told me to place all those files on that (it was previously a U3 drive), but everyone just talks about only putting two files in.
Looks good. It doesn't matter what files are in as long as it's..
- Bootable
- Has ATIFlash & the BIOS file on it
Thanks. I'll try this tomorrow morning. Then I can have my dual monitors back. :D
Is anyone else unable to force Anti-Aliasing from CCC? I have to use the game settings or AA won't be used at all. I like the wide-tent best, but can't get it to work when I try to force it...I've tried this in four different games, same problem in all of them.
I'm using the 10/11/07 7.10 drivers (Option 1 package).
I swapped my 320MB 8800GTS to sapphire 2900Pro and got almost 800marks more in 06. GTS was watercooled and voltmodded. Most importantly all af my games works, unlike with 8800GTS.

Thanks, I get the core and memory frequency to 901 / 2394 with stock voltage.
The default stock voltage of my card is 1.20v. I think this is some kind of bonus from ATI:clap:
I try to increase OC of my card a little bit more with more voltage but it looks like this is the max of my HD2900Pro under water:rolleyes:
i put today a EK Waterblock on my Sapphire HD 2900Pro and now run it 938 / 972 benchstable @ 1.25v vGPU.
(with aircooling max 874 core clock and only for one run :D ).
with stock voltage (1.20v) can i bench 918Mhz!
i try later more :)

"i put today a EK Waterblock on my Sapphire HD 2900Pro"
any picture from your setup?
I planned to buy the same block for my 2900pro 1gig.

how do guys think about
512mb vs 1gb versjon hd2900pro in crossfire playing on a 30" dell lcd
do you think there will be any fps cuts with 512mb cards vs 1gb cards?
ok got two 2900pro with 512mb because there are 10day wait for 1gb editon her hehe.
