Subject: Concerning the sale of a product
Many computer enthusiasts have been very excited about Twinmos Speed
Premium pc3200 lately. Many of them that live in the US are buying this
memory from newegg. The only problem is that there is a discrepancy in
the product numbers and that there are 2 different types of Speed
Premium floating around. 1 which ends with a product code of AADT, the
other which ends with AA4T. People are interested in getting the AA4T.
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...9&page=1&pp=25
that is a 43 page thread about twinmos memory, with thousands of
replies. Hopefully you see that if Newegg starts advertising the two
sticks as AA4T and AADT, many people will be very happy. One member at
the forum convinced Tekheads.co.uk to do this and now that site is
getting tons of order from their UK and Ireland constituents.
http://www.tekheads.co.uk/s/product?product=603911
notice they also advertise the "50D" this is also important to us, as
there is 3 types, 60D, 50D, and 44D. It would mean so much to your
customers if you could advertise more than one speed premium and break
it up into the products codes and rated speeds.
Regards,
Loyal Newegg customer

An automated response if I have ever seen one or maybe Nancy just pressed the "send default fob-off e-mail" button after you totally baffled her ;)
The ammount of people who work for these places who know sweet FA is staggering.
I think im back on the 9/14 also. not too sure tho. I did flash back to it after the 10/15 so I know im not on that.Quote:

i have 3x 1gig Speed Premium dual kits on the way from overclockers.de
all AA4T 44D chips
i'll give them some 3,8V luvin' next week :D
oh, now thats what we want to here... some xtreme voltages :D
I believe that he got one bad stick so he can only do SC right now.Quote:

Yeah, one of my sticks are crap and wont run at rated speeds. Also, my DFI UT is the only board that I have that will push the ram that high and its a single channel board. I was able to get a little higher this morning after another 8hour burn in. One more burn in tonight and Im done.Quote:

You get limited over around 3.6V only because you have to be able to boot a bit lower than that. Once you have booted you can raise the VDimm as high as you want. With mine I would set VDimm to say 3.7V in bios, but lower my +3.3V rail low enough to keep the Dimms at 3.55V. Once I booted I raised the rail and got the 3.7V I set it to in bios.Quote:

But my new sticks of SP, one of which does 251 #5 error free and the other of which does 257 #5 error free SC, require a drop to 240 when the pair is in DC. I've played with nearly every setting and memory slot combo available, without being able to run over 240 with these sticks.
Anyone else seeing a "large" hit going from SC to DC on TwinMOS SP?
You would get better clocks SC than DC period on any platform.
Shroom you do need more voltage. I can smell 3.8v :D
you mean u didnt expect this?
Gentlemen, my question was regarding the larger loss using SP than using BH-5. Not that the loss occurred ;)
I was asking the question to help determine whether the larger loss was a fluke or a characteristic of SP. Does anyone else have any benches comparing the SC/DC loss?
@ Shroomalistic, but u burn it preferentialy error free? or just increase voltage and burn it till errors disappear?
i'm not sure how to do with mine. :)
@ sjohnson, have u tried a different bios?!
@enok, I'm accumulating BIOS', my CD full of Hellfire, Merlin, Oskar, DFI etc BIOS got stepped on and ruined. DFI Infinity, shame that hellfire.enclavenet is 404 for a week now. But, I hear you!

Right now Im stuck at 275 with about 2 errors every 6 or 7 passes. So tonight I will leave it burning in at about 278 or 279 for 8 hours again.

Just one question though @ Jack.
I placed the order with overclockers.de , but was not given any option to pay, is that normal?
Sounds strange to me.
When you click "Warenkorb" (=basket), a new screen will open and give you the shipment and payment options.
Did you get that screen?
When you click on the 'Warenkorb' icon on the left, you go to the page that shows whats in your shopping cart.Quote:

If you chose to pay in advance, the required info for wiring the money will be emailed to you.
hey! my memory is doing better then expected. Since I don't feel it's worth it's own thread in the bandwidth forum I thought I'd post it here.
Although I don't have AA4T's (crappy AMT's)
I got a decent 240MHZ out of them on 6-3-3-2.5T (won't boot on 6-3-3-2T).
this being on 2.9Volts.
So, although this ram isn't doing 5-2-2-2 I don't think this is to shabby neither so people, if you have AMT's or such, don't chuck'm out. They have Brainpower PCb's which appear to work nicly for them.
You can still get decent overclocks out of them but off course don't expect übertimings and speeds of 270MHZ or something.
I know my overclock of the FSB isn't all that super (still stability testing with prime before I continue to push it further) but it's something.

ok i got a pm from DuPu and hes in finland. hes got a lot of memorys 512s and hes in finland, seems the fins are on the money for twinmos
yeah i see it jack...
@ Shroomalistic , what memtest are u running?
i'm currently using memtest86+ 1.4, and i just can't pass #7 without errors... at 244Mhz with 3.1v
I see you could also buy from this site but i don't understand the language.
Just killed one of my 256 sticks at 3.8v (stupid DDR booster is all over the place)
Are you sure about that...??Quote:

Same chips as OCZ...but are you sure its warrantied to 3.5V? lol but I wish you luck :)Quote:

TBH it may or may not have been the volts that killed it, since it was weak anyway, possibly it was just a coincidence

I just leave it at 67mhz for memtest. 71-77 can get me an extra 1mhz or more most of the time.Quote:

trc "bank cycle time" is a big timing much like cas as it sets timing cycles

only 256 sticks @ newegg are pretty much guaranteed (the SP's at least)...
