The only programme I know is Core cell, but that sucks ;)Quote:

 Whoa! What a crappy looking program. I wish SysTool would add vdimm readings.
Oh well, thanx anyway :)

Corecell doesn't display your vdimm. That vdimm number u see in corecell is just the setting you can change. It is not a reading.
Yep listen to D3kMatrix he is wise.
Only way to get a vdimm reading is with a multimeter. there are two points to choose from.

no really if you know the defaults...For me the CMOS reset pin is positioned excellent but with corecell i test more oc without resetting the bios (after some time becomes booring) if a setting is wrong...Quote:

They say that you have to read the vdimm on the hardware at the reading points with a multimeter.
BTW I have discovered something that is at least true for my self!
I could reach 2500 without increasing VCORE!
But I'm currently setting my divider @ DDR200!
Why is that? I mean I can get my computer stable at 2500 without increasing my VCorc? But when I set my ram at DDR400 for example I'm not stable without 1.6VCore?
Wow.. so many posts since I last visited here.. :)
I have a MSI K8N Neo2, Athlon 64 3000+, and 2x512 of G.Skill PC4400 F1-3200DSU2-1GBLE (TCCD) (which I paid a decent amount for because of its OC capabilities).
Right now I am running at 2340 Mhz (260 x 9), with a 1:1 ratio at 1T, 2.5-4-8-4. I was running a bit higher, but I can't complain too much.
Lately I have been thinking about going up to 2 gigs of ram. I run a lot of heavier apps, and I am using XP64. It is just a hard decision, since in doubling my ram, I will probably loose some speed.
I do not plan on buying super-expensive ram if I replace it. Probably around $200-$230. I figure I could at least get a good bit back for my current ram on Ebay since it still retails around $200 (the lowest I found so far). I do not want to get any real cheap stuff, but I am trying to keep the cost down.
Is anyone out there doing any good overclocking with 2x1024? Is there one particular type of ram that is doing good for this board? (As far as 1 gig sticks). Thanks for any info.
I run 4x 512 OCZ 3200 Plats @ 243x11 / 1.1 / 2T / 2.5 3 3 8
You'll be able to do better wiyh 2x 1042.

P.S. @ SE. Can I use my old Sears Multimeter? What settings?

What kind of problem is this?
I now really can't run stable at 2700 even with 1.80v!
I was pretty stable at about a month ago but now i'm not. I could easily run SuperPI 32M calculation but now I get a BSOD. Someone said that there is a problem with this mobo. I don't know, so what do u all say? thx
Hey, I have a question :)
I just bough an MSI neo2-F as well as a Thermalright neo backplate, just in case....
So I was wondering if the standard backplate already attached to the socket of my neo2-F will be sufficient to hold that Big Typhoon, or should I install the Thermalright Backplate instead ?
Do I need to install the thermalright backplate directly under, above the standard mounted backplate, or should I remove the standard one before installing the thermalright one ?
than for your time :)
I would certainly take the old one off, and use the new one. I have never heard of two backplates being used at the same time, and I have installed a good number of HSF's. I imagine it would not be a good idea, if even possible. :)Quote:

Invoke error on nvidia lan option rom (PXE boot)

-7025CU1A.1C3 = Unmodified/Untouched Beta Bios
-7025Cu1E.1C3 = Beta bios modded by Syar (Msi Forum)
.txt included
gonna test it tomorrow i think, hope it will solve the invoke error i got with my Promise Raid pci card
EDIT.
Just so you know thats not an Offical BIOS, it's a Beta.Quote:

Well good news about the 3.5 and 4.5 HTT multiplier. Im a little dissapointed that there are still no more ram timings.
sounds like another mem controller giving up the overclock to me :( happen to me on my 3500winnie and 3200veniceQuote:

Well it looks like a good bios from MSI but the least modable in ages becaue everything is already on. Going to make a mod anyway because its too cluttered at the moment.
They still have the read preamble and max async values in the code just begging to be activated. Still they dont activate them
I think 1.C final will be the last bios for a while from MSI for the neo2. I just hope they activate those last few memory timings before then or I dont think it will ever be done.
Edit - i was viewing the SYAR mod so no wonder everything was activated :p:
sideefect the 18% Vcore value is missing again...
It never worked anyway so whats the point of it being there? Just confuses people because they set their voltage higher but nothing really happens :PQuote:

Hi !
I was about to post a link to this but someone got ahead of me .
The CU1A/CU1E is both customized (modded) by me .
CU1A is all options availible
CU1E is EasyBIOS where all sane dafault options are set
but alot of non essensial things taken away from the cmos setup menu's.
This is the one I use myself btw , easier to navigate through .
3.5x/4.5x HT multipliers is not in the MSI beta w7025NMS.1C3
I also enabled 150Mhz and 183Mhz like SE's has done in his bioses .
Other than the setupmenu's both are identical modded and have the same defaults .
I can now boot from SATA drive connected to my SIL 3112 PCI card while
nvraid is enabled .
So can get back to XP64 and XP32 separate without boot ini again .Wohoo i guess .
So the SCSI PCI raid boot should also be corrected as the option rom boot invoke error is gone forever .
Edit:
I have looked at the 13-18% code and they have placed a jump in the code
so if set it jumps to default vcore .
syar2003 did you test the 3.5x and 4.5 x to make sure they work then?
Because i tested them before after enabling them in 1.A and they both defaulted to 5x so unless MSI has fixed them i dont think they will work. Im going to test in a minute i just modded my own variation with added timings.
Edit - the HTT multiplier sets and shows in bios as 3.5 but when u go to windows and check value with a application it is 5x with the 1.A bios after the code hack.
Edit - also the way you added the text for 150 you have changed the ordering for the higher dividers. Its not a problem as the 233 and 250 dont work anyway but if they did they would be set to 216 and 233.
Thanks SE !
I wasn't aware that the 3.5/4.5x HT multipliers defaulted to 5x , my bad :(
Just tested it with 3.5x 220 and had to reset cmos .
Also checked with everest and confirms what you found out earlier .
3.5x 200 gives 1000HT .
So not much use to have theme there .
And post a warning ( DON'T USE 3.5x or 4.5X HT MULTIPLIER )
I'm aware of the 216/233/250 dividers but didn't see any use to change the text on them as they give 100mhz/200mhz/130mhz anyway .
If they actually worked it would matter .
It looks to me that this BIOS only has the boot fix compared to 1B .
Afterall I sendt them a faultreport on that issue on 1Aug and asked again yesterday . Shortly after there was a 1C3 availible .
