Great Forums, I've learned a ton about OC just reading this thread.
Has anyone heard any news about the F8 final BIOS for the DQ6? Is the F8i BIOS improved performance significantly over F7?

F8i is for the DS3, the DQ6 has beta F8c...a later beta is due soon.
Quite happy with the ds3 so far. Notice the chipset says C2!!

Thats my guess, since they are releasing F8 final for DQ6 and DS4 is an almost identical board with DQ6. In that case it would make sense to skip F7 in the DS4. As for the X-Fi issues, i have DS4 with F7b and it seems they are fixed, so I hope this would be the case in the final BIOS.Quote:

I have still the same issues. But the worst thing is, that with X-Fi enabled (in device manager) my video playback is a bit weird. Video sometimes skips o bit (a few frames) and i get some "std dev frame time" and "std dev sync offset" in video renderer(shows quality of playback). If I disable X-Fi in Device manager, everything is fine and I have no skips.
This F8 final needs to come out already!
I don't have any floppy disks laying around to install these beta F8s
You can update with @Bios.. is pretty easy and fast.Quote:
