second..the system is detailed in my Signature...Two kingmax PC3200 sticks of 512mb ram..
Thrid ... My games after a couople of minutes of playing just freeze without a specific error and VPU recover reset the video card and i can continue playing but will freeze soon again and so on..Of course not all games return to their normal state after freezing..For example in NFSU2 after first complete race (3 laps) in the second consecutive race at 2430mhz (270x9) freeze but windows works perfectly..And another thing at 260mhz the all the games freeze without setting the Vga voltage to 1.60v..
Another thing...One of my Kingmax sticks have errors in Memtest even without any oc..I get errors in test number 8..I think the ram itself is damaged.The other is perfect.I tested one by one in the same slot.

you should probably rma the bad stick first n then continue OCing, but in any case is you system Prime Stable at the settings the games crash?

the bad ram was taken without taxes and not officially...The guarantee is on trust..But i think the guy takes them from services of computers with a bonus prices..I bought two banks from him and both had errors :P..The first i changed it with the kingmax but i think i will sell it to not depend anymore on the guys..

ok, so in some bit by bit testing last night.... i discover my cpu is good to 2.7 at acceptable voltages (just around or under 1.6).

so im like, ok, maybe i switch up my whole setup. lets find out what this memory can do and then maybe i can do a crazy combination of high htt and ram to get to the effective 2.7 right?

wrong. this damn ram would not do anything above say 258 with my timings of 2.5-4-4-10 and 2.6v

more volts gives errors so basically it seems im limited to using 2.6v and whatever that gives me i have to go with. sigh.

WHY am i not able to effectively use more volts on this damn mobo with this damn ram? is it simply heat? do i need to plug another fan right on top of the ram and see what happens. i mean the bh-5 at 2.85v didnt get hot like this ram when i put anything more than the 2.6 into it. i mean wow.

what yall think? i know there are tons of tccd users on here in this thread with the mobo of course. is there something simple im missing?

im a new TCCD user, but from what i gather ya u really need a fan to cool then down, i was kinda supprised also as how hot they get..........i have OCZ old CH5 sticks also and without a fan at 3.4v didnt seem as hot as this at 2.9 (2.85 + mobo overvolting 0.5)

edit: another thing alot of ppl overlook, some ram can give out errors even if timmings are to relaxes for that speed or if voltage is too high, form my limited testing (few hours) with same timings i got half way (loop 10) through PI 1mb at 290 (constantly) and at 275 they never even did the first loop Never.

is it possible with this board to read out the vdimm in Windows ?

I checked with mbm5 and speedfan, but they dont show any vdimm :(

no you have to use a dmm

basicly the board overvolts the vdimm by +0.05v and the vdimm is stable

i am unable to enter the bios by pressing delete as the pc boots up all i get is a black screen with a flashing cursor its the latest bios 1.b i can get into windows fine if i dont press delete on boot up any ideas?

This is a GPU or AGP problem, your video card is throttling, that's what is causing the pausing. It's not a CPU stability problem.

Surprised ur windows install isn't borked yet. Get some new RAM :P
That or 1 stick of ram likes a diff amount of voltage then the other. Did you try running any other vdimm settings besides auto? Test each stick using voltages from 2.6v to 2.85v.

Clear ur CMOS.

If that doesn't work it means you didnt competly shut ur system down after you flashed.
After you flash with a 1.X BIOS you need to totally shut down the system,, unplug the PSU and clear the CMOS.
It will probably say "CHECK SUM ERROR - Defaults Restored" when you POST.
And don't enter the BIOS the first time it posts after the flash, u have to let the XXX Pool thing update, so let it load windows once before you enter BIOS.

For TCCD RAM more voltage is rarely better. With my 1st set of G.Skill LE TCCD's they would run at 2.65v all day great, but at the same settings with 2.70v or higher the errors would pump out like crazy in memtest.

But my 2nd set of G.Skill TCCD likes 2.85v better, every type of TCCD likes different voltages.

A64 Tweaker doesn't want to work on my system, what am I doing wrong? It won't let me change the settings :(

Yes you get this error because of the temperature sensors. Its ussually when you are using a vopochill or other high end cooling.

To fix it you have to use a bios with temperatures removed. You can use my 1.A bios on my website that doesnt have temperatures in it. You still see the temperature readings in windows just not in bios.

I had the same problem. Try ENABLEING k/b storrage support it worked for me all is well and no flashing cursor.

Looks like I settled on 2520mhz :toast: I think I just got a bad FX53. This chip has been through hell too, the previous owner had it on water, dice, phase, everything lol

so SIDEEFFECT can anything be done (modded) about DATA Drive strenght in bioses.......

This is a second stick like this..I will buy a new ram soon when i will get the money (this is a problem now)...In both the windows is working great (with some errors like programs closed for illegal operation and something like this).I experienced in the past Skipping files during windows installation because the a ram stick so i am aware of that error..I do what i can...I am just a freak begginer..My mother come to me last night at 3am and told me that i stayed at computer about 12hours for more than a couple of weeks.I sleep about 10hours on day...heheh...Monday the University will begin so the mother will be so happy to know me there (perhaps and maybe are the words but she don't know them)

THANK YOU so now we shouldnt see that problem anymore i hope from anyone who doesnt read the thread. :) I posted it at msi but the guys look at the noob POST count i think since i dont post much and ignore it. Ive seen it pop up over there evertime i browse.

guys... boooo... active coolin on the ram... and still not able to use more than the 2.6v without errors :(

EL rolio it was a hell of a time for me to get my error count down with my winnie/ tccd and memtest 86 with prime. ONE would be stable the other not.

I would forget memtest 86 being perfect, get it down to a few errors and run memtest for windows and all the other windows test prime/spi/occt. :) If i would decrease my volts memtest 86 would be error free but not prime, just on my good ol winnie. :)

well thats the thing, i thought about that since memtest errors on anything above 2.6 v, until i usd the fans then it didnt error at 2.6v 2.5-3-3 but the quick n easy test is to see if super pi crashes. i dont even have to start a p95 run, i just make sure it can do the 1m run on super pi first. which it doesnt seem to want to above 2.6v or with 2.5-3-3 :(

EL R if you can get to 2.7ghtz are you using the 9 or 10 multi? If 9 go for 2.5-4-4-7 and see what your scores are. 2.7 for a winnie is good most of them top out at 2.5 or 2.6. If your happy at 2.5ghtz you should be able to get by with 2.55 volts on your tccd and no errors in memtest86. I would push it further and get errors down to almost none in TEST 5 AND OR 8 and do pi test and memtest for windows and a little prime. ALL that nice hardware you have why not save the winnie for a spare rig and get a new opteron chip? :banana: :toast: :)
