My board seems to have died.
I was getting random crashing during games even at stock, & i was having trouble POSTing.
Yet P95/IntelBurnTest/Memtest all passed fine.
But i could shut off power for a bit, & it would sometimes POST, or could reset CMOS & it'd POST.
But now no POST at all regardless of what i do :(
Still on the 803 bios here, and still messing with the OC but heres a SS of where I am at with my Q9400. LLC disabled gives me 1.240v running Linpack.

Thanks :) Its just a good chip, the board seems to handle it no problem. Once I get my max clock on it with reasonable volts I'll need to start tightening up the ram settings which should be the fun part :D
I have a PL of 10 right now with all but 1 pullin enabled. Strange thing is that if I manually set the dram freq I got errors, at least back when I first tried it, auto works well tho.

E8600 ram to test Memory Brandwidth, got 2 set Cellshock PC8000 CL4 4-4-4-12 an G.skill PC8000 CL4 4-4-4-5
bios 1103 an 1201 got a bad Memory Brandwidth,an can not hit 600+ fsb,here is 0803 best,hmm I can try bios 1306

Interesting, joint winner P45
At least initially, I am seeing the same thing on my P5Q-E. I flashed 13.06 and lowered my vcore down 2 notches from 1.35v to 1.33+v. It is running prime blend now at 30+ minutes. This is in contrast to any prior BIOS rev where any voltage lower than 1.35 would fail somewhat quickly. May still ultimately error out but if not, I may try to lower again a notch or two.
All other setting remain the same. Only change was in vcore.

Well I finally made it through 125 pages, damn. Leeghoofd, I notice that your sig shows bios 803, did you settle on that bios as the best?
test Memory Brandwidth:up: Bios 1306 = 0803
an YES :shocked:very very low vcore, first test whit bios 1306 an vcore move not, total stable
beastnotro, System is running fine @1.4v (1.25VID) and I added another 120mm fan, Temps are now 69 max on p95 large for max heat, The rest of my settings are per your template, What other settings could I try to lower?
my stable settings at the minute.
CPU Voltage: 1.4
CPU GTL Voltage Reference (0/2): 0.630
CPU GTL Voltage Reference (1/3): 0.670
CPU PLL Voltage: 1.56
FSB Termination Voltage: 1.28
NB Voltage: 1.26
DRAM Voltage: 1.96
NB GTL Reference: 0.630
SBridge Voltage: 1.10
PCIE SATA Voltage: 1.50
Well one you could leave it alone if all is well.
Or Two
The only things i would lower is the PLL from 1.56 to 1.54 and the NB from 1.26 to 1.24 . again stability may become an issue as it was for me when i did that as linpack would error out.
So its up to you .. i personally would leave it.
I may even try to lower my vcore now to 1.40 as i only did 1.42 in BIOS for absolute stability when i first go rig setup to 3.6ghz as 1.38 was not good so i bumped to 1.42 and left it there... :)
I may even try Bios 1306 BETA as many say it seems to be good and many can use lower Vcore by 2 notches lower... so if 1.40 is absolute stable say for me then on 1306 bios i hope 1.38 would be.. lol
Yep on 1201 here, gives me 0901 par performance with my 2Gb sticks... haven't tested the 1306 bios with the Gskill Hz's.. but overall I can set one or two notches lower on the vcore... 3.6Ghz priming at 1.112 Vcore now lol was 1.13 before (bios setting 1.18, before 1.2 required to be stable with 1201, LLC disabled) any setting lower than 1.2 and it would cap out on small FFT's under 15 minutes... with 1306 still humming along at 1.18 in bios...no other settings touched...
Hope this bios gives better results too with my E board... LLC doesn't work at all there, and anything over 450FSB makes it very unstable... (tested all ram, PSU,CPU combos)

:) thks, but i said maybe i try 1306 beta.... lol.. i letting others be the http://thoughtnotstatic.files.wordpr...pg?w=239&h=275 first.
Bios 1306 4.8ghz an 1.46v:clap::up:
