finally all was good with my p5b but ... always seems to a but with these boards :D my keyboard doesnt work on ps2 port :mad: how the **** am i suposed to get into bios now ? usb doesnt seem to work before windows starts to load perhaps i forgot to set usb keyboard support but cant remember seeing that setting in bios. Offcourse ive tried 3 different keyboards.

Which one of the OCZ models use Micron memory? Here in Canada the variety of brands are limited

take a good look at the PS2 connector , if it looks ok than you have no choice but to return the mobo.

Anyway to keep my onboard sound ang reduce boot tines? when I followed thiese instruction my boot times were 2=X as fast, but I get no sound at all. What did I miss here. When I do the first bolded item, the second is already done when I reboot.

I would prefer not to install a PCI sound card.

I have this combo.

RAM works out of the box. needs 2.0v to be stable.

Remember to manually set timings (4-4-4-15) as SPD sets them conservatively

Guy I have had a problem on my yukon ports since getting this and maybe someone can help.
When I transfer a file to the p5b I get a thruput of 1-2 MB and its bouncing everywhere. I have 3 other systems on my network and all of them get 11-12MB thruput send and receive. The p5b sends at 12MB to any of the systems fine.
BUT like I said I can't write to this system above 2MB and even then its bouncing everywhere.
tried different router and cables and nothing seems to change.


I went to the marvel site and dl the latest drivers I could find and installed them no change.

ps I am using 607 bios just running 365 on a 6600 to keep it cool...it will go over 400 but temps are terrible with ninja cooler...need water LOL
should I update? had a heck of a time getting it over 350 so hate to start that battle over again.

Anyone have problems with clockgen ? i can run 459fsb all day but someone
told i would be beter starting at 400 in bios because of the strap thingy then uping it in widows with
Clockgen with the cy28551 pll so i have tired but if i move it more than 430 it locks the pc up i have to shut it down and restart by power switch :stick: any ideas ??

that's the tradeoff for tighter timings. you will find it rough going much higher.

It looks to be for the new processor 1333fsb and red letter warnings about the flash process.
