guys a quick question i was offered a brand new EVGA 580 vanila 1.065 vid from a friend that he didnt event tested it as he saw vid and he got mad and took it out...i cant find any good info on a GTX580 of this vid...mines are 1v and clock awesome that one could clock at least 900 ?

I'm surprised that the PSU can support such heavy OC. How did you connect the graphics cards to the rails? HX1000 is said to be essentially a pair of 500W PSUs, and the GTX580 sharing the same +12V rail with the CPU would likely suffer from power shortage if the +12 rail cannot overload to 600W 42Amps. My own HX1000 failed to power up a pair of EVGA GTX580 1.5GB about 6 months ago, even when I didn't overclock those GTX580s at all. The one sharing the same +12V rail with the CPU simply got blown. yep, during the bench i have one scythe ultra kaze in front of the card and another beside.. keeping so the mem cool. :)
yea, it is hard to find a great SB clocker with 55 or 56 multi. had a 54x before but this one died with the board. :mad: (asus pro had a short circuit) so maybe a will get a better one from the RMA.
