You're guys room temps only go up by just those few degrees? In winter when the thermostat is set to 65F or so my room is into the 80's with my comps.

Most rigs I had runing, that was in my FM days even while they were lower end systems ( sempron 2800, venice3200, banias lappy, p4 2.4c ) they were in one room and in summer that got blazing hot already.

surely any farm they have is impressive, IMO. but in terms of PPD, nitteo is in a league of his own when that thing is up and running. he pushes 220kPPD before the GPU boost! i don't think he's had it running since he got hit by hurricane Ike and lost half his office building.Quote:

Uh oh. I'll actually take some pics of my machines when I get them all back together. Guess I'll have to go searching for that thread myself then. I mean I only have 2 folding rigs, and 1 of them has a motherboard on RMA and I'm still waiting for a couple of 8800gs' and a molex-pcie power adapter from sniperbob helping out a fellow folder. +1 props for him. I can't wait for all this stuff to come together. I'll be up to about 30-40kppd from just those 2 machines. I couldn't even imagine having the kind of setup nitteo had, thats just amazing. Stoopid hurricanes. Does he need any help getting those machines back up? Is there anything we can do on here to help him?

catawalks put a shortcut in the run menu, or when you have the login screen enabeld try atleast running your smp as a service that way it will always run after a reboot. Gpu console's can run as service under XP as well, just not on vista :2cents:
That is why I have my client in the Start up folder in the Start menu. Easy workaround. I have too much :banana::banana::banana::banana: on start up... :rofl: :shakes:
I have to login first. I should try to set them up as services but it seems like everyone has problems with setting them as services in vista.

I realize my post above seems like sour grapes. If any of you remember my posts in the first race thread, I pointed out a 4 week contest is too long. :eek: My hardware at the time exceeded my ability to pay to run it a full month.
( bleep PG&E) I liked the 2 week sprint because it helped keep things affordable. ;) Somewhere in the beginning of this thread I predicted 2 million points in 22 days. I said: "After that, I'll be running on fumes." Loose translation... "if my team had a shot, I'd find a way to run till the end." The charts may not show it yet but by my calculations the race is already over. I'll put up the projected 2 million and shut down to keep things affordable. :p:
