I go on vacation for a week and look what you guys have done to this thread.:D
Back to crunching at full force. Hope the farm holds together this weekend.

Semi-totally OffTopic, but relative...
In Montana, it is illegal to have a sheep in the cab of your truck without a chaperone. ( fourth line from the bottom )
Kinda On topic. Was finally able to get a different HDD into a sidelined quad rig, so that one is back up and crunching after a 3 week+ hiatus. w00t! And got 4 other rigs running that were down for various reasons. Got some more to go, but am getting there! w00t!
The Q6600 G0 for quad #37 arrived just before I headed out for vacation. It will probably go online on Jan. 2 or 3.
DDTUNG:cool:
Excellent!
My first quad no longer likes the P5B Deluxe it went into. It was always semi-problematic in there, now it refuses to run in there anymore at all.
So, I'm going to be putting it into a Gigabyte DS4. I had bought that, a few weeks ago, to put the Fry's quad into just before I did my Christmas OT run.
So, the Fry's quad is still homeless. I'm thinking of buying an X38 mobo, perhaps, for that. I'd like to have at least one system with PCI-E 2.0.

My 2nd quad has been down the past few days. I actually tripped the breaker in my room. I'll have to watch what I power up in here for now on. I'll turn it back on and hopefully we can run those suckers back down.
Time to run a dedicated 20a @120v = 2400w, or 30a @120v = 3600w if you plan on a lot of machines) circuit back to the main panel.
P
------ or PIE
I | E
P = Watts
I = Inductance (amps)
E = Electromotive Force (volts)
So I x E = P (watts)
P divided by E = I
P divided by I = E
Wireless router - Check.
Cat5e through the house and walls - Check. (in most rooms at least)
I'm on my own 15a circuit, and i only have a few things running lol. 2x quad core rigs, Sammy, xbox 360, clock, lamp, lcd, 5.1 surround and a 8 port switch.
I've really been debating on finding my own place again. Its just hard to let go of all this money I save (or spend in my case) while living with my parents.
Wireless - Check
Cat5e - Check, double connections in every room, 6 on the attic, 4 in the basement
Power - 2x16A dedicated, check :D
I am going to stay here forever! (because shotguns aren't allowed here )
To anyone that is moving to a new home: make sure you do the wiring properly the first time. I am really enjoying my network here. It is amazing to be able to have 6 friends coming here with their rigs and then just be able to say: 'plug it into the wall mate'. No wires you can trip over, nothing.
Good day:)

^^^ Hmmm. This is a little mixed up.... SI unit of Impedance is Ohms first off.
Are you showing Power(Watts) = Current(Amps) x Voltage(Volts) ? Or something else? Cos If you're talking about Impedance we'll have to start talking about reactance, complex equations and Phasors.
Another good day, but the pipped us at the post...

Keep up the great work everyone...this "fight" is really helping the causes!!!!!
I don't think it'll be long before XS is consistently putting out more WU + points than easynews
but, 2ch is just creaming everybody
is it law that you must crunch in Japan?:D
we need about 800 more people => :shoot: 2ch
do they get more points per result or how do they manage to get more points while returning less work ?
Team 2ch
Avg. Points Per Result - 344.05
Avg. Points Per Hour of Run Time - 69.10

Points per result is somewhat of a misleading stat. If you crunch mainly short work units, your average may be low. But your average points per hour of run time may still be high.
They kill us by the number of members returning work. They are VERY dedicated. http://img212.imageshack.us/img212/6...iojigi2qe6.gif
2ch is the largest forum known to exist... they do have superiority in numbers no matter how we look at it lol.
Doesnt mean we cant put up a fight though ;)

Close. Another good day though
We just need VietOZ back at full force, plus a couple of new quads I know are coming up, to draw even with Easynews. Despite the loss of Rammie and mike047.
Keep up the good work.
DDTUNG:cool:
Agreed. I think Huey is involved with his new house.
We'll get there.
What's that line about the tougher the battle the sweeter the victory?
oh, forgot: If anyones interested there's a guy at 2cpu.com selling a SM X7DAE and 2-5340's for $850.00
Should pull a solid 23-25K a day when tweaked..
When the going gets tough, the tough get going.
I am putting up quad #37 this week.:)
DDTUNG:cool:
Got a little more help coming...
Just got done screwing a new DS3P, with G0 Q6600 and a TRUE 120 mounted on it, into a case. This will replace the P5B Dlx that was problematic, and eventually failed ( to run the quad, at any rate ) completely. The P35 chipset should let me get the most out of the chip and it will be up and running before the night is through.
I also have a MSI P35 board inbound and I imagine the parts will be here in time to get that system up this weekend. That will house the unused Q6600 that I got in that Fry's deal.
I'll be back pretty soon guys. Been trying to set up the rooms so i dont have to go back and re-modify them later.
Good to see your face around again. You've missed all of December!
Huey!! Missed ya buddy!!
I threw a couple of Quads and a Duo on this for a while. Completed a few missions in the rest of DC land with some success. So back to clawing my way back to page 1 again.
Nice! Is Mike back to running his old projects?
it seems no matter what I hover in the mid 50s to low 60s for team ranking, though others pass me, then fall by the way side, I keep cruising along @ an even clip.
I am still kicking with the only :banana::banana::banana: available ( parents rig) as they went on holidays and my k7 rig suffered from my dumbness ( formatted the wrong part of the hdd ( the place where I withheld my imgs :S))
forgot how to see how bad I am actually doing (compared to other xs members)
You get the house ready..We saved your chair here..A nice comfortable recliner..:D
We'll take whatever you got..Quads, duals,xeons, Ohio Sheep..:D
You do your thing Mike. Can't argue with what you do at all.
Probably does more to promote DC than anyone else.
Course that doesn't mean I wouldn't like to see your ugly puss here.
Yup, the smile that makes me smile. That's a heck of a kid..:yepp:
I think the most beautiful kid I ever saw was a little Korean girl.
Shiny black hair and eyes, dear God the eyes. Told her mother she should take her to do TV adds and I think the mother thought I was a fruitcake..
OOPS, almost forgot:

Close one..
Good luck spanking Easynews, guys. They got it coming.
How many points a day will a q6600 do?
Did they ever get HCC working right? I am fixing to add a quad @ 3850 on Linux 64 bit and see how it will do. I have accomplished my task at Folding @ Home, now I just need to maintain that position so I now have some spare rigs. Which projects are you all running?
As far as I know, the problem with HCC and Linux has not been fixed.
Just switched 2 quads to WCG BOINC Team Xtreme Systems.
Make that 3 quads added.... :D
Isn't there a utility for monitoring all wcg rigs from one rig? Seems like I remember seeing one?
You want BoincView.

sigh, gotta get my basement done so I can build a farm, this is getting depressing, good news is, been laying tile all day in the bathroom, floors should be in next week. So won't be long now, and hope fully will be adding 6 OC'd Q6600 to the fight. My best guess ETA will be Mid febuary. Wish it could be sooner.
Sounds good..
End of February I should be up an additional 15-17K a day myself.
The plan is to grab a 5400 chipset board, move the clovers into it, volt mod and see what they will do. Planning an additional 5K a day from that move.
Move the woods into the existing X7DAL-E for 10-11K a day.
That can be done for under $900.00 and still keep me in server boards as I still think that although they don't give the bang for the buck they do give longevity and stability.
Then in time if I can score a reasonable pair of Harpertowns move those into the 5400 board, the clovers back into the X7DAL-E and sell the woods at that point.
That would make for app an additional 30K a day or whatever a harpertown can do, thats still an unknown.
:)
I have a quad. It's temporary, and it means my dual is offline... but I have a quad. :D
January 14th is coming quickly so that means my two WCG crunchers will be back online. They aren't much, but every little bit helps I suppose. Trying to maintain a majority presence in F@H - no offense to you guys at all, F@H and WCG have similar goals, just F@H is my main home project, the one I am most comfortable and at home with. However I have an internship with First Energy starting soon, so here's hoping that I'll have enough spare cash a little later on to upgrade my main PC and either then move some more of my dedicated crunchers over here or maybe who knows, I might keep my current board and CPU just to turn into another cruncher  We'll see I suppose.
What am I missing here, why are the scores different?

You have only been running a few days I take it? It will take a week or 2 for it to plane itself out. Just keep on crunching.
It takes at least a few days for work units to be validated. Each BOINC point is worth approximately 7 WCG points.

Little better today. I also added a E6850, E6600, E6400, and a 3.4C today in addition to the three quad cores yesterday...
