Thanks
how well does the EP45 UD3R overclock quads compared to the EP45 UD3P? does the UD3R have the same bios options as the UD3P?
I'm officially retiring my q9650 from anymore testing. This is as Xtreme as I care to get with the temps . This was at 1.3875vcore set in bios. Also, cannot get LinX to read the same MAX memory any two times I open it. Close everything out before opening it and selecting ALL. Runs great at 4.14ghz so Ill keep it there.
nice clocks jor
My BIOS cpu vcore is set to 1.26 and in windows cpuz is reporting 1.216. Is that variance considered acceptable?
Was able to get the Vcore down and also MCH :D. Temps were a few c better, max was 72c. Have not primed it with these voltages yet, may try that tonight.
xEnergie, it is OK if it doesn't lead to instability, however you would better set "Load-Line Calibration" to "Enabled" in the BIOS, if you want to overclock - and you will get rid of the vDrop this way.
Hi
I've just got the ep45-ud3p rev. 1.0 to replace my abit ip35 pro and I am having problems with overclocking my Q9550 (L837B542). The problem is that I can't overclock at ALL. Even if I set the fsb to 340 the board don't boot. With abit I was at 8.5*435=3.7GHz with 1,23vcore mch 1,44, mem@1044MHz with 5-5-5-15 everything else was at default. Any suggestions?
My specs is:
Q9550 (L837B542)
ep45-ud3p rev. 1.0 bios f9b
2x2GB Crucial Ballistix 800MHz (BL2564AA80A)@modded Corsair Airflow

enermax infinity 650W

swiftech mcw60

Guys
I forgot to leave this comment, i asked that "if i have to re install the RAID 0 as i was swapping Maximus II to Giga UD3P", well the answer is NO, i had no need to do it, i just set RAID on bios and everything worked as a charm...
Also i did this from the Asus P5K deluxe P35 to the Asus Maximus II Formula P45 and same system still working on the Giga UD3P :)
Cheers !

Nice results mate, I'm giving up on my EP45T UD3P; It only works fine with low voltage kits (read I7 kits at high speeds)
Once I put in a high voltage kit (+1.9v) the Vdimm goes bezerk and I can't maintain any stability... board had this issue form day one and an RMA might be the only way solve my issue

It shouldnīt be any probably to give it ~1,36 and about heat, if you donīt break 80C during LinX no problem, you donīt come close to that heat when you run Prime 95 small FFT, play game or rendering and if the CPU gets to hot it throttle down.
Hi pangingIII :)
Nice memory sticks you have there.
If you remembered I had some problem with my EP45-UD3P, RMA it, they couldnīt fix it, got a new board, itīs working as it should, nice piece of machinery.
