Does DS4 have any other overclock program than Easytune? setFbs GA_965 worked couple times, but now i will get smbus error, when requesting fbs. When vcore is set 1.6v bios>, launching easytune, will freeze system.
Also i got lot of problems get past 400mhz fbs. When setting 400mhz> rig shutdowns, boots and i see post screen, shutdowns and boots, but fbs is now 266mhz. If go to bios and set again 400mhz and reboot, rig starts boot/shutdown loop which ends never. Sometimes mobo goes without any problems 440-450, but usually i hit 400-425mhz wall :(
Settings i use (max working):
CPU Clock Ratio:.................... 9x
CPU Host Clock Control:.......... Enabled
CPU Host Frequency (Mhz):..... 445
PCI Express Frequency (Mhz):. Auto
System Memory Multiplier:...... 2.00
Memory Frequency (Mhz):....... 8xx something
DRAM Timing Selectable:........ Manual
CAS Latency Time:................. 5
DRAM RAS# to CAS# Delay:... 5
DRAM RAS# Precharge:.......... 5
DIMM OverVoltage Control:..... Normal
PCI-E OverVoltage Control:..... Normal
(G)MCH OverVoltage Control:.. +0.25V
FSB OverVoltage Control:....... +0.2V
CPU Voltage Control:.............. 1.6000
If i will get above setting working and shutdown machine and come example next morning to boot rig, starts same endless boot-shudown loop :(
Machine:
E6600 with Phase-change cooling
DS4 F6 bios
Gskill mem
There's a new version of Easytune5 now... I find it easy to use =)
Things are pretty slow on this thread.....
91 more posts and we hit 3000!!
Correct me if I'm wrong people, but this is normal if you exceed a setting that GB thinks will hurt you. For example, mine will run all day at 288 fsb but I can set my FSB to 300 and memtest and run stable for hours, and then shut down and turn off the PSU. When I turn it back on it will reset off on off on....etc till it resets the bios. Sometimes I have to turn it off and on again to complete this.Quote:

Also, your dimm volts on auto is = 1.8 volts. I'm pretty sure bumping it to +.400 should add some stability as well as getting some better timings.
cry!! when we can see new BIOS :(( for 1001 time!!
Not normal. My runs stable at 400 and it can run at 450 but requires to much voltage. If you read the gigabyte ds3 support page it tells you what options need to be enabled/disabled.Quote:

Obviously it's still not stable enough to make it warm boot or cold boot... =)Quote:

But first booting(in day) and 400mhz fbs are usually no go. Yesterday i set 9x399 for test and today booting machine lead same shutdown/boot with default values returned.Quote:

I would recommend You to start with VDimm +0.3/0.4. That should be sufficient for OC above FSB400 (1:2 FSB/RAM).
Maybe I wasn't clear. Oh...I went back and read what I typed and I was clear. I booted and ran memtest86 and ran stable and then it wouldn't cold boot. I had heard this was a known problem and just wanted some clarification on it. Thanks anyway for trying to help.Quote:

and where is the setting for ram timings in the bios cant seem to find it
I told you when you posted this on that other forum that you have to hit CTRL F1 to access advanced Motherboard options. Read your manual!!Quote:

there are 3 set of serial no. like is that the 1 u r looking for?
Just give us all the numbers on themQuote:
