Here's the best I can do after alot of tinkering. I'm happy with it! I know some people hit higher, but for being on air and the cost of the system in general, I think its great!
I would like to personally thank everyone on these forums for all the info they post!

So I just read the last few posts and it sounds like with a new bios the DS series will be able to break the D9 curse? Is this correct or should I read back a few posts? I'm tired of being stuck in the middle 470's..
This is excellent news for all DS users! Any news on the DQ6?Quote:

Can you please list the drives you are using and which board? I do not have any issues with the Seagate 7200.10 series but have not tried the Raptors or Hitachi drives yet. The JMicron controller firmware is one step down currently and we have asked Gigabyte to update it on all three boards.Quote:

Here's what I believe is the best that I'll get using the F8i BIOS.
Attachment 53177
Using these settings Orthos passed 12hrs.
CPU Clock Ratio:.................... 8x
CPU Host Clock Control:.......... Enabled
CPU Host Frequency (Mhz):..... 406
PCI Express Frequency (Mhz):. Auto
System Memory Multiplier:...... 2.00
Memory Frequency (Mhz):....... 812
DRAM Timing Selectable:........ Manual
CAS Latency Time:................. 5
DRAM RAS# to CAS# Delay:... 5
DRAM RAS# Precharge:.......... 5
Precharge delay (rRAS):......... 18
System Voltage Control:......... Manual
DIMM OverVoltage Control:..... +0.4V
PCI-E OverVoltage Control:..... Normal
(G)MCH OverVoltage Control:.. +0.2V
FSB OverVoltage Control:....... +0.2V
CPU Voltage Control:.............. 1.4750
When I tried 420x8 Orthos failed. I couldn't Boot with any FSB above 420. My previous 406x8 using 4-4-4-12 passed orthos for 30 min but failed at 46 min. When I raised the timing to 5-5-5-18 Orthos was still running after 12 hours.
I believe that I have a memory problem. I tried 266x8 3.00 (ddr 800) and this booted with orthos for 30 min. I tried 266x8 3.33 (ddr 885), 256x8 3.33 (ddr 852) and they wouldn't boot. I then tried 280x8 3.00 (ddr 840) and 420x8 2.00 (ddr 840) and they booted.
Waiting for the next BIOS.
I hearby apologize for my mistreatment of Bingo. I was wrong in my assumptions about him and want everyone to know he is the real deal. I should not have lept to conclusions and I very sorry.
Please keep the I told you so's to a minimum. Thankyou!
Hey well done your a real man, good on you.:)Quote:

There is a new beta for the DQ6. I do not think it is ready for public release yet but if it comes close after testing this week then we will try and get it released. We are trying to get any public betas in a "good enough" state so that it will not cripple your system. ;)Quote:

I can tell you from my experiences with them at this time they are burning the midnight oil on quickly solving any potential issues that arise.
