Today, i give the chip a little more volts(1.392v), and start testing with 2,6GHz.

Seems that it's stable, but temps are very high right now, so i will change the stock heatskin for mi XP-90 and continue. I hope i will not need so much fans than before...:p:

I just finished tunning my new Expert mobo! Damm, that thing is hard to configure. I'm out of time, but I must say I am impressed, my overclocks really improved. Now I'm able to hit 3.0 ghz!!, with 1.56 v (1.425 + 109.6 %). I love this mobo! It has overclocking profiles, so I only load the 3.0 ghz profile when I'm into some gaming or transcoding videos and I leave it at default for email, browsing or word or excel!! I already got a buyer for my asus a8n32-sli, which wasn't a bad board at all, but is not meant for hardcore overclocking. I have to update my sig....
I've never used a DFI but would like to do so one day. Congrats on 3.0 Jamex! That 67% overclock is awesome ain't it?
yea the custom bios settings is a sweet feature that only us overclockers can appreciate.

Do I lose overclocking potential going with a 170 instead of a 165 with a DFI Lanparty UT NF4 Ultra-D motherboard?
The reason I'm asking is because it is getting rather hard to find a 165 in Canada.
If you get it Prime stable at 2.87, I will be impressed. I had a 0551 that I couldn't do anything over 2.65 on with watercooling.Quote:

It's all in the stepping TEDY. The Egg was shippng some great chips a couple of weeks back but have moved on now. However, a couple posts above a guy got a WE to 3.2GHz so roll the dice I guess.

Yes you should load at leastthe AMD Dual Core Driver. Just google that. there is also an Optimizer you can load as well. Other than that just make sure your mobo has the latest BIOS flashed.

165s generally overclock better than 170s. Not always but usually. Hope you get good stepping.
