We had zero experience with these rams and were already shocked they did over 2200mhz... 2D dunno if we could have gone lower then eg 70, for 3D loosening TRFC was the only way to keep it sort of stable... System was really degrading at the end... !! BUT no burned sockets !!
Await the cookie screens Dino... cpu tweaker reveals it all (I think :p)

TRFC was quite tricky, I think low 70 was already pushing it. But, remember no one had tested these memory sticks before. No one even know the exact memory IC type, so it's very difficult to find optimum settings for the memory :).Quote:

We were crippled in 32m because of 210 bclock and rams were not really stable there either running 8-9-8 2100. Final result was 9m11s, had a much better run that'd have hit around 9m8s but crashed. I think the theory about trfc making the difference is wrong cause we were running it at 70 and 65.
Higher timings and lower RTL is possible, but we were running 49 and did not have really good performance and ram timings should cripple alot. We need hicookie to publish the screenshots to find this one out.
01 was in great need of ram and uncore as well but I think we finished 5th there which is decent below teams as Turkey, Belgium and Norway ;) GFX was at 740/1630/1370 in riva.

Team Finland Spi32M score (4th):
Our CPU booted and worked easily with 222 MHz BCLK. First we used one multiplier smaller memory ratio (DDR3-888) with 7-8-7-18-74 1T timings but time was 7 min 10,844 sec. Then we switched to DDR3-2220 memory setting and gained couple more seconds. We also tried 235 MHz base clock but were not successfull, maybe with more time. Anyway 70 minutes went FAST and we managed to do four full runs.

MEM: DDR3-2220 9-9-9-24-82 1T 1,76V
Tweaks: Pagefile to slave partition (512-512), LSC, Maxmem to 618, OCX Copy-waza, Disable most services, set theme to Silver, language bar tweak, disabled VGA, real time, affinity to two cores.
One "problem" in competition:
Instead of CPU-Z Gigabyte demanded everyone using Intel Frequency Display utility which IS UNFORTUNATELY NOT very accurate. For example our 3996 MHz CPU frequency was being displayed as 4000 MHz. I don't know if for example 4004 MHz and more was being shown as 4000 MHz as well..

Elmor and me were struggeling a bit with the bclock, and couldn't run as high as some other people did. Because of that, we were forced to run lower uncore. But i guess we can't compain about anything, because some people (Pt1t) had even worse bclocks.
however, the most results were really close to eachother, and the contest was very pleasant :)

Firstly and most importantly; i had great time! not because i win or loose but having really good time with old and new friends; i never change this to any winning possition or sth.
And very very congrats the all buddies i know all are good tweakers but some time lucks cant be with you like us in 32m :))
let me write one by one
first one is 32M
i dont know if you checked our 32M scores :) it is 9m 19sec :rofl: how can we have such a sucks score ?? here is the answer CPUTweaker was not working and we couldnt realise it cause it shows setting up is ok but not really setting up :( because we dont use cpuz at that contest we didnt run cpuz so we never thought that is possible :( so our real mem timings was such 8-15-15-31-..subs are also as high as auto from bios gives..
first we thought some sevices may caused that so even we ghost the system back but we never realised the problem; okay we are guilty cause i was setting only cas from bios but here we had an unknown memory so that shoul be normal guys..:shakes:
well this is our bad luck in superpi 32m (we were easyly capable of 9m 8sec with 9-10-10 timings at home ;) even at that setup without any tweak we get 9m 17sec,, check our 9m 19sec on the event :)) )
In case on 3DMARK01
it is not a great results we got there :) my romanian friends know it :D let me just tell what i got at home at 211blck 121pcie vga@750-1587-1380, i was able to do 812xx; at 222bclck 125pci vga@750-1587-1380 with bad mem timingscas9-10 etc, i was able to do 81624. so in that contest we ran at 222bclkc 126pcie, vga@760-(1590to1625)-1338 we got 81590 :up: it was not easy to let system see ssd at this pcie :) so not a good score :up:
i am really sorry that our romanian friends couldnt run their system in 3d; cause their vga was better than ours and i believe it was gonna be really good buddy challenge :)
also thomas s unable to pass 200bclk cpu; petri and sampsa s d3d problem and i had thought that was a vga mem problem...and all guys that have such problems..

Hmm, dispite 210 vs. 211, you would have been no1 in 01SE, but Im impressed that the judge accepted that since only rule of event was 4000mhz, not 4000.1... you ran 4009mhz

That was a very great event, especially for us french guys, as that's the real first time something is held in our country !

I can bet this is only the beginning and "warm up" for next year events such as GOOC 2010 and other OC / Tweaking competition.
Even my real real real bad luck the last few days (broke to many thing, windows on my car, destroy 1 webcam, almost killed my laptop etc....) that was nice and hope to be a part of this kind of event next time !
Last : special cheers to the norway guys that manage to stay at our table with BUNCH of french-press guys in the LIDO, drinking all the red wine... (we ended up to 9 bottles for our table... with few people not drinking ^^)

I am NOT an Overclocker, but EDITOR! If massman said how can compete some unknown Power User from forum with "BIG" OC names. I wanted to prove is it possible.
I had only two free days for preparation, i chose SuperPi for that and :banana::banana::banana::banana:ed up for 3D01. Used Ci5-750 + Asus P557P LE (very cheap mobo) + Corsairs 2000 C7. I didnot tested whole event setup before.
We did some known OS, registry tweaks + SPI Tweaker (no manual waza).

Pagefile 512/512 on D:
Waza 560, 128k, no CDT or IV
Settings: 210 BCLK (9-9-9-24-1+ trfc 74) 2100 MHz MEMs, CPU at 3990 MHz time was 9,03.
Our system can pass 32M at 221 BCLK (booted from bios), 2210 MHz Mems at (10-9-9-9-31-1) but score was worst - 9,04 (was stable for 3d01 too)
Dinos: hey man, i can beat you every day i wants ... you can choose a test and we will se who has a magic and ho can only talking about it (YEAH, this is a challenge!!)

I was also wondering about the speed of the czech SPi Run, but we sitting right back of them and we have a look at all what they does...
I not find anything special, no cheating but a very very good performance for the Clocks what they had.
