Does it really matter how many gpu's you got, I was under the impression that only 1 gpu is dedicated to the physx effects.

Yes, you are 100% correct.

PhysX does not support SLI. If you were to use a 295 for dedicated PhysX, you would get the exact same performance as if you were running a 275 for dedicated PhysX, providing the clocks were the same on the cards.

I did and it was the same as set to high in the launcher, ie around 50 FPS avg at 1600x1200 and AA4x (with physx enabled in nvidia cpanel, otherwise the ~13 FPS). I think changing AA mode didn't affect fps with physx enabled but could check again, I'm pretty sure I already checked that.

BTW, what settings did you use for that startales benchmark, I did a quick run with that as well at 1280x1024 with 16x AF and no AA and HDR and DOF enabled and got 23.xx sth minimum FPS on my GTX 260, average was like 61 tho.

AA4x with physX on had a negative affect on the performance, around 5 FPS / 10% compared to off which clearly points the PhysX is being handled by the GPU as it should. However it still personally baffles me how AA4x with PhysX set to off in the game settings allows for around 30~35% performance increase, that's just nuts if you ask me.

Probably a drive bug or something.

So... am I the only person that has "broken" FSAA in this game with a GTX 280?

It's an ue3 game, so there will be some surfaces that does not receive any aa.
