(to camoflauge) Gosh, no reason to post your E6600 results on an AMD thread. Oh well, no hate. However, I did have a question...
Does anyone know the EOL date for s939 Opteron 165's?
I wanted to buy one now, but I may wait a little longer, that would be awesome if we got to see s939 65nm Opterons..but I know we won't, forgot where I saw it, but I know we won't...=[
My 170 is holding 2880 at 1.5v on water. 2900 looks like the max for this chip, anything higher and one of the cores eventually fails under heavy load.
my ccbbe did 2952 for a while(coolaboratory liquid pro xp-90& 2 x 120mm fans), with inconsistencies... think it was motherboard related (k8n neo4 plats had a few cpuV probs) but now back to 2880 1.5 too.. stripped naked now with no change....Quote:

and I have nice BH 5 (jmax_oc selected :toast: ) http://collabo.free.fr/overclock/165/spi_29.640.jpg
it can be optimised I know this week end I will have time to test all the night
max screen (suicide screen :p ) http://collabo.free.fr/overclock/165/cpu-3048.bmp
I can bench Pi and 3DM05-06 at 2925 but its just too flakey so I dropped it back to 2880 which is not bad I guess for a CCBWE 0550 UPMW,I must keep working on it though as my other Opty which is a 148 CABYE 0528GPMW can do 3150 and bench. I run it at 3000 24/7 32meg PI stable.
Could any one of you tell me if im hurting :slapass:
my opty 165 CCBBE 0615DPMW running it @2600MHz @1.26vcore load temp 44c dual dreaded Prime 14 hours :-2gig Ballistix mem @237MHz @2.66v ?????????????????? Cause i wanna lower the mem to 200MHz and keep it @2600MHz clock and drop the vcore lower just for the crack :fact: being i can only run with stock out the box cooler as promie is dead but am trying to put togther custom water. Can run @2700 1.34vcore but temp rises to 48c - 50c Dual dreaded Prime  too warm for me used to -c.
First dual core i have had got lucky..:woot:
Why Prime 14hours test some might say :slap: ...Im a beilever  single core experience on promie running it hard and long BF2 seen a A64 3500 1hour prime only die within a 6 month period (memory controler died 1 channel @ a time then nothing)So 14 hours+ for me with sub 48c on air :slap: sorry!!!! Just wanna sqeeze out a good 12 mounths out of this with a decent chip at the end of it to upgrade one of the kids p.c. Many thanks:fact:
Wife's 4400+ has been going since march 24/7 @ 2640, 1.5, stock cooler. 62-65 load temp depending on what it's doing.:D
You been sub-zero for too long, man. Need to thaw out a bit!:flame:
I know but i had 2900MHz on a winchester on Promie -c temp under full load :D DIED 6 months on, :( Bought 144 day it came i cried :( CABNE 0540BPMW but even with that pants chip i could get 2700 MHz on -c 2 months later Promie dies, so been running a A64 3700 sandy KAB2E 0549**** on that stock cooler, and as of 7 days ago a dual opty owner  stock cooler :slap: !!!!!!!!!!!till i get my water up and running gonna try under clock vcore @2600MHz and 200MHz DDR just need feed back on weather its safe
My wife ran even hotter when i told here i had bought 2 x 165's :nono:

I'm cooling limited, my xp90 suxx, waiting a big Typhoon ;)
Wow 58C on an XP90? Do you have a nice fan on it? Do you have bad airflow in the case?Quote:

Ambiant temp about 22°c
With my old cpu (~ 7 opteron 144 & 1 x2 3800+ temp is the same)
i'll try to test the radbox soon :)

I suggest the vantec tornado 120CFM fan just get a fan controller if u think its loud.
I just recently bumped my vcore on my opty down to 1.375, kept speed the same and ran dual prime for 8 hours; it passed with no problems, but should I even try and go down to stock volts.
1.375 is fine, you don't need to be perfect at that voltage. Shouldn't be any crazy heat issues.
I think my thermal paste suxx but i not used too muchQuote:

I've correct temp @idle > 37°
Last night I ran 3DM06 with my new Opty 170 at 2900{8x363} at 1.47v and my temps never went beyond 40c on water. Card is a connect X1900XTX with stock cooler and settings. http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=535162

Just wondering how you are getting that UCCC to run so fast; I have the same but the best I can get is 255 on loose timings. If you don't mind could you post your ram settings or just post a screen of CPU-Z memory tab.Quote:
Opty 165@2800@1.392V, XP90, DFi ultra-D, 2*1go samsung UCCC @270,X800GTO²@XTPE, Audigy 2ZS, Raptor 74g, 2*250go Samsung, Fortron blue storm 400W, 3D aurora Giga, Philips TFT 19", Z5500
I'm testing my CPU O/C so my ram run at low frequency but she run @270 a this timming with 2.7v + 0.03v on DFI Ultra-dQuote:
