basically finished the tunning on the system now, Cascade did -98c at 312w and -101 with 270w.
time to put side covers on and get ready for a bench ;)
cold bug switch on drops down to around -96c.

thanxs tiborrr, load tester cant really simulate a cpu, its good for ensuring a system can hold a certain load but some times you tune for too high load or not enough, only way to really know is with a cpu :DQuote:

Sorry if this has already been asked, but will current evaps need to be modified/replaced to become compatible with Nehalem? I think the 1366 chips are a tad bigger than the LGA sockets.
Nope, the core itself hasn't grown larger than the evaps so you are fine. Hell, current Chilly1 evaps don't cover the entire IHS on LGA775 ;)
It's not needed anyway. Current evap heads are really large enough for LGA1366 chips, although bigger the head, the more evaporating surface it usualy have ;p

if it was water cooling ideally you would want a bigger evap, but for phase change its not such an issue.
It will be like going back to the old 50mm AMD cpus ;)
The look of your units always makes them stand out. I had no idea that even LN2 would allow for 1.95v core a 45nm! very impressive results.

with 310w load it was a few psi load
