What chip is it? Is it a lcuk chip from monarch or do you know what you're getting?
waiiit!!! nobody answered my question lol...
What's the safest you can run a DUALIE 24/7 without it killing itself?
I see all these awesome benchmarks running primestable 2.8ghz +/- on voltages anywhere from 1.45++++
To those running at like 1.5V getting these great speeds, are you planning to use it as a daily rig 24/7??
Curious to know...because that'd be awesome, running at that speed, dualcore, safely.
So long as temps are under control, I would be comfortable running up to 1.6v in BIOS (which would equate to 1.57v or so in CPUZ). CCB1E owners will tell you otherwise...
1.5 - 1.55V CPUZ looks good to me for 24/7 :cool:Quote:

seems not bad preliminary, for what I've seen there are good ocers and bad ocers for this step. I'll gona be pleased if is a medium ocer, my first goal is about FX60 sped 2x2600 with low voltaje, this afternoon will test in my rig when arrives at home...
Impatiente is bad, very bad... LOL!!
salu2.
PD: anymore that should consider in the stepping???? usually I look for good week, low 1st and 3rd letters (althoug they seem related directly to the week, I haven't seen any 0551 APAW or FPAW) and low batch number (0319 is not bad at all, but not as good as my 0016 vinnie xDD)
salu2
It's being said that batch numbers dont really matter... Currend 0610DPMW, 0608MPW's and 0609FPAW's are great overclockers... For water/air try to get your hands on these.Quote:

as far as the database goes, if you guys want to post results you want entered into the database:
user name: itznfb
model: 165
stepping: CCBWE
date: 0604
packaging: TPMW
vcore: 1.35
frequency: 2430
cooling: stock air
coldbugged: don't know
Its from fleabay and its a CCBWE 0609FPAW 170. Kinda forgot that is more than one memcontroller on these now (ccb1e) oh well.:rolleyes:Quote:

Those steppings arent written in stone, you might have gotten lucky with the one of the few from that stepping that clock well.Quote:

Well, I havent seen any 0551 go over 2.95ghz, and that was an extremely rare one @ 1.6v
I need some better cooling before I can clock it any farther
it takes about 1.45vto get 2.6GHz
Currently my 165 0551 UPMW is OK at 300x9, 1.500v in BIOS prime stable.
But I run it 312x9, 1.425x113% for Benching/Gaming. I don't really know which is the problem with that stepping, because it can prime for about half an hour with my BH-5 using the 166 divider, 3.5v. That's 255 2-2-2-5-7-16 1T, not bad at all :)
It also likes heat. With 1.61v it goes up to 56c without IHS and still primes for a while. It can last 1 hour or fail in 10 minutes :D
As I said, for 24/7 it's 300x9, 1.5v but 312x9 got me 13125 in 3dk05 and 39300 in 3dk01 (gpu etc in my sig).
Specs for the database:
user name: mursaat
model: 165
stepping: CCBWE
date: 0551
packaging: UPMW
vcore: 1.425x113%
frequency: 2800
cooling: TT BT
coldbugged: don't know
I was looking on ebay for another cpu. I am highly interested in a 170 now...so what steppings should i be looking for? Some of them claim that 0609 FPAW are doing 3.0 on air/water. Anything you have heard yet?
What are some known good steppings you guys are getting? And from where? ;)
Only the CCB1E 0609s are doin 3ghz, the CCBWEs are doing 2.8, maybe 2.9
my opteron 170 is hitting 2.6 on stock volts without any stability issues, 16 hrs dual prime stable...
Hehe, the other 0608MPMW from the seller I got mine from is at $355 with 18 hours left, already $5 higher than I got mine for :D
With the IHS and Air, mine topped out at 2975.Quote:

The CCBBEs are cold bugged it seems, Ive heard they are even bugged at lower water temps.
