interesting i haven't tried that particular timing yet
It's one of the more important ones...tRRD sorta helps, tRFC we all know about. The rest are basically for show IMHO.

Three in a row Gautam :D
http://img472.imageshack.us/img472/7...ategoryhf7.jpg
Andre your results seem to be the product of CPU-Z fluctuation's rather than actual efficiency.
For example in the 16.XX category Gautam would not normally beat your time by .45 of a second by simply increasing his 'clocks' by .3 mhz.
The point of this thread is to measure efficiency not to take advantage of the CPU-Z clock variances.
;)
^^ :nono: We're having fun here. The point of the thread is to get under the minute with the lowest clock speed. .1mhz less is lower.
Heh, indeed we are. :p: I happened to get 3 in a row tonight as well. ;)
13.xx..good thinking on the 2:3 andre, wasn't expecting it to be this fast. :p:

He Gautam,
Those are some serious nice times you have there, but offcourse I want to challenge you. Here is mine best score for the 13,xx catagory.
I want to challenge you on more catagories, but there's one problem, my system has crashed recently and up till now I'am not able to find the setting I had.
Forgotten to wright them down :brick:
System :
Asus Commando
Core 2 Duo E6600 @ 3320 Mhz (8 x 415 Mhz, 1,53 Volt bios)
2x1GB Crucial Ballistix PC8000 @ 622,5Mhz 4-4-4-4-5 (2,575 Volt bios)
Everything is air cooled (cold air)
Whoa, your ram is just amazing...dunno if I can keep with that.
Okay, here's to both of us staying on our toes. :p:
Gautam, how you do that dude... its awsome....do you have new tweaks? i mean, you were at higher clocks on 13xx with 3:5, share us the tweaks plesee :D:D.... Great job... you too oldscareface... your memory is sick :D, your tweaks also... great job dude... dont forget to write down your tweaks also, and share with us so that we can remember it for you :D
Heh you're doing quite well andre...your times on 2:3 etc differ practically within the margin of error with mine. Last time on 3:5 note my timings were a lot slacker. :p: I was thinking of going for 2:3 on the 8x like Oldscarface did here but I was pleasantly surprised by the way 3:5 was doing on 9x.
Hey Gautam,
Too slow to challenge you but 12'5x"@3.6 is not so bad.

Maybe i need to try with W2K3.
Looks good. That's a very strong time for XP.

This is my best effort.... too bad my ram cant run 4-4-4, need loosened to 4-5-4... this is with 2.6v and the result wasnt bad at all, it just 0.01s to 13s :p:
might need 2.7v for 4-4-4 maybe.
Is that the Team Xtreem 5300? I could get that 32M stable at 4-4-4-8, ~2.65v actual, more seemed to hurt. Tried looser tRAS?
Anyways thats very fast for 4-5-4. :toast: Far ahead of most at 4-4-4-x.
Very nice times lately.
Welcome koda.
yes gautam, its TX PC5300.... i'll try later with lower tras, hopefully my D9 not degrade since i once test it to 2.8v.

Nice times here :)
I would like to partecipate, but with my new Commando and Cell Shock 1000C4 I can't run 32M@600mhz 2.7/2.8V,while with my old P5B DLX no-problem...:(
Some advice about vref,pci-ex,nb and sb settings?
maybe set the PCI-E freq to auto? some mobo dont like high pcie freq too boot at high speed...

this isn't up to the form of the 44XXMHz run but the damn 9X multi just won't let us E6600 humps run fast memory at this kind of CPU speed...yet.
i finally got the CPU cold on the QuadGT with my little Chilly1 single stage and the good news is that i did manage to hit sub 11 minute right around 4500MHz, the bad news is that the motherboard brick walls at 500~505FSB. it looks like i am going to have to volt mod the MCH and take this board. if it does 560FSB, i will make it do sub 10 minutes ;)

nice run bro :toast:
to be able to do sub 10min you neet at least 5.1-5.2ghz, i dont think a single stager/dry ice able to do that. you might need LN2 at least...
i'll join you soon on sub 11min
Me and my Team did this, board or CPU can not go higher
http://img521.imageshack.us/img521/9...titled1ae6.jpg
this is I believe 3rd time ever on 6600, perf number is 3003, so if u go 5.1Ghz, time would be ~10min 48sec, this win wasn't good and ram subtimings can go much more lower, so we will try soon new win with new cpu and new mobo ;)
nice run misko :toast:
hopefully your sub 10mins @ 5ghz will post here soon :toast:

I am trying to get RAM @ 600 now, seems much harder than on p5b dlx
Nice board Kiwi.... I havent even tried to run dividers on this board cos its hard enough to get my rams going at 530fsb lol..... I think its time I get myself some 2* 1G kits cos running 4 sticks on this mobo is too hard.....
Still trying to learn 32M and so far this is all I can do.... funny how I spent so much time on this run and its a quickie for you lol..... Ive got so much to learn
http://www3.telus.net/luis99/oc/z09.jpg
Looks at current hardware: B1 Conroe, B3 Kents, P5WDH, a second P5WDH, yet another P5WDH, an XBX2, 1x1GB Fatties, and 2x2GB.
Looks like I'm a B2 Conroe, Commando, and 2x1GB of great GMH short of coming close to competing with you guys....BUT, I promise I'll join in the fun when Penryn/DDR3/X38 comes around :D Too bad Gautam didn't send me his rig while he was in India....I still have our good install from our 5.4GHz LN2 run (though I think it wants me to activate by now...hrmmm).
Coop....is that 1066 or 1333 strap? TBH, there's not much to 32M other than having high RAM speed with 1066 strap....there's Copy Waza tweaking and pagefile settings to play with...maybe some theme stuff....but not a whole lot else (unless I'm horribly forgetting something :hitself: ).
@Vapor, 1066. Thanks, I'm learning about this board. QuadGT. I've been working with some of those OS things and don't have the right combo yet. Way far away from some.
I'm still watching...:fact: Looks like I know what I'll be doing while fighting the jet lag now. ;)
I dunno about this though, that 14.xx was damned hard. My ram is capable of the big speeds, rather the mobo starts binding around 650 it seems. How to pull off a 32M at 660 is just beyond my comprehension. Everything has gotta be in place and oldscarface has definitely got it. :p:
Heh, depending on how things pan out perhaps you can have another go with this stuff. :DQuote:

Oh and btw, sub-10 can be done at about 4920-4940MHz with today's hardware if anyone so pleases...I can assure you of that. ;)
me too cant run spi @ >2.65v vdimm, between 2.6v and 2.7v it seems too little gain in rams mhz... for me 2.45-2.55v on p5b was the best for ram benching. lowered the NB voltage also helps stability.
coop, tried maxmem 485, 512, or 600. set affinity to Core 1 for spi. and then copy wazza with 2.4gb works perfect. in my P5B boot at Trfc = 35 was faster than 25. one thing, Use XPLite (edit with nlite).

My run.... Im curious to what the acceptable performance product at around this speed? Sorry im still new at this but comparing my PP to Gautam and Misko's score, Im wayyy off lol..... A bit more tighter memory setting, you will get the best time for sure;)
In that case, somehow have to recover the result in my dead HDD.

3oh6, that is the same speed I had and same 7x518 iirc, before I did 4/5. I also used smaller waza file (730mb) and moved it 3 times, per fredyama (thank you) with 600 maxmem. I have H20 NB and cpu as well on my QuadGT plus volt mods. However the board has so much range available that the only v-mod I really use is vmch. 1.83v and it may not be needed. That is just what it is at 1.7 bios. I also boot at lower and C-gen er uguru up. I tried alot but can't go any lower and still make the 12.xx.
@ Gautam, you are already at the top. Great run with 12.55 though.
excellent to hear...thank-you very much for the info. i guess the first order of business when i get back from holidays is to volt mod this little guy and see what i can make it do.
just curios, what is the highest FSB you have been able to run 32M on your board with the extra NB volts? i am hoping to eventually get 550~560FSB for some 5GHz benching on it...if i have to chill the NB i will i guess. with just the Noctua NC-U6 and NB volts maxed in BIOS, i was able to easily bench at 534x9 last dry ice session but not a sinlgle tick more.
I did 7x530 at one time. http://img473.imageshack.us/img473/3...3710kz7.th.jpg It was no problem in the sense that I just ran it. I was working on this the last couple times I was using it. http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=205077 Tonight I'm going to try 9x489 90 or so an see if it is any easier. My AW9D Max is faster for Pi. (at least 1/1) Now that I have water cooler for NB and better ram I'm getting ready to change back. If I can just get the dividers to work as well as this board it may give me some better times.
Edit: the aw9d is fsb challenged though.

Nice job luihed.
@eva2000, did you use that cpu on a 965 board? Can you compare this board to the others at same speed, or does it just allow for higher FSB?
For everyone, if you are submitting entries and using a P35 chipset board please include like a memset or cpu-z shot so I can tell. Some request have been made to include chipset in the list on page 1. I will start to update existing, maybe, or just start from now on.

Oh $#!t, very impressive eva. I think that is the highest ranked Quad. The reason I asked about the board, they have P5K E at store here. I went to get one but misread the ad. I thought it was a deluxe since it had wifi. I was not aware of the E model. After reading about them though they are almost the same sans some pwm heatsinks.:D I think I need to get clock'n.
thanks yup very fast quad action.. if my cpu cooling & ram didn't hold me back i would of taken a place in sub 12min category too

I saw that. You can't get a few more mhz? tRD_WR to 7. You would have it made imo. Get some fans or something.
That's nice stuff eva, p35 looks really fun. I won't be able to resist forever. :p:
How about lowering tRFC, 30 is up there, and ras to cas write delay of 2 or 3 never seemed to hurt stability for me.
I can't run below tRDWR 8 on anything crucial though. All those weird ram dividers must be really convenient.
I entry for 13.xxx category again.
It's a test and training to take WR modPi 32M. :D
