PIE is.. yummy! I think I have a pretty solid position in the PIE. :) Although.. I think adding another GTX 480 would be fun ;). My house got up to 83F yesterday.. I had to open a window to let some of the heat out!

The power utility has my hands and feet tied behind my back. I'm lucky if I get to run Wide F-ing Open 8 days a month. :shakes: I crossed over because of MM's mass e-mail for WCG. I was just doing a little testing for the newest ACEMD 6.13, turns out that the WUs still error out like crazy. But some managed the finish, which is very nice; it is showing some progress to fix the CUDA bug in the 65nm GTX 260.:up:
My Inno3D 260-192 65nm has never given me trouble with any driver :shrug:

I post both Free-DC and BOINC stats as a comparison because a while back free-dc was playing silly buggers and the numbers were all over the place. They're just the daily charts from both sites and as Trn said their servers update at different times so there's bound to be some disparity.

Yeah. I've finally found a thread that gives estimates for PPD for different Video cards. http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=246434 shows that I shoudl get between 34.7k and 42.0k PPD from a GTX 275. Unfortunately, neither my linux box or HTPC gets those kinds of numbers. The linux box is dedicated for GPUGRID and WCG and yet it gets only 13k PPD(GTX 275-it took 30 hours to complete one task!). My HTPC gets a slightly closer 34.5k PPD. Strangely my SR-2 gets an amazingly low 25.5K PPD. I'm very confused by the lower PPD I have. Currently I have 2 GTX 275s at their stock speeds(I don't think they are factory OCed) and 1 GTX 480 and yet I'm fighting for 100K PPD from all 3 combined. Doesn't seem quite right. I have the Swan_sync variable set for the GTX 480 machine. But my PPD just seems very very low.
I'm trying to figure out if I can give GPUGRID "priority" over WCG, but everything I read seems to say they will split up their resources efficiently(which seems to contradict what I am seeing with my machines).
If anyone knows of any special tricks to maximize GPUGRID PPD please post here or PM me. I'm currently looking at disabling WCG to see if that will help GPUGRID. I'd only be doing it temporarily to prove my hypothesis. I'm not convinced that 75kPPD is really what I should expect from these 3 video cards.

Yes, you should be getting much higher PPD.
1. If you are running with newer drivers and the 6.12 application version of GPUGrid you should add the SWAN_SYNC environ var for linux. This is a change in how they configured the app itself. Previously it took 1 cpu thread all by itself, now you need to tell it to. You will have to stop and restart BOINC itself for this setting to take effect. Make sure to Set BOINC Manager to use 1 less cpu thread less than you actually have to free up contention with WCG.

2. Make sure your GPUs are not downclocking. Not sure how you track this in linux, maybe another linux gridder can help you out here.

I installed XP and today my score is 130k, 150k in Bionic stats but tomorrow have to return borrowed MBO and then I am out for 2,3 days, until my MBO come from RMA, but when I return i will be stronger than ever.
