Got 2 new WR's today, X2 4800+ Toledo and 3500+ San Diego:D

I also tried both 0507CPMW's, and, lucky you Gianni, both had horrible coldbugs. Never seen ANYTHING like that on a BH! ~320mhz @ ~-28c. I also tried the AABHE 0506GPMW again, I made it run @ 10mhz more, but then reboot. That was @ at least -28c (temp sensor is a bit weird when it's colder) and 1.8v. With 1.89v, I didn't get over 3.8g. But then the temps were like -15, so if I can get -30c and 1.9v, then MAYBE...

The 170 was very bugged, so it was damn hard to try it under dice. But it was fun anyway, as it went always 50c++ up from idle to load:D And 15c core temp difference... I'll probably remove the IHS so I can get more even and stable temps on chilled water.

I also tested one of the 185's. It sucked pretty hard for a 0613, highest suicide was ~3600 @ 1.8v!

THe 0613XPMW's were quite good for a 3700+ toledo, 3100 prime stable @ 1.376v @ air. Didn't try it on dice, though. Also, the 0606APMW was crap.

I'll post the cpuz stuff of the 3500+SD and the X2 4800+ Toledo soon;)

the validation was done @ -33°C.
Evap-Temp was ~-44°C

the fx puts a lot of heat out :eek: (under load)

Not sure how much I want to spend yet... but I really want a unit where I can change the temps, to really max out coldbugged cpus.

I don't think it's possible to change the temps with a single stage. Maybe with a waterchiller + build-in tempcontroller?

Oldest s939 SD I've seen, but definately one of the greatest! It's bad on air, won't do 3g @ 1.6v:p: So I wasn't so sure I would get the WR, but it scaled nicely.

Btw, the dude I bench with made a dice bomb. Dice + 1.5l bottle of coca cola:D

Nope. I only tested what was mentioned in post #902 (:D ) + a 4000+ 0829APMW which sucked hard:ROTF:

I had to catch the last train back home, so the bench session was very short. My friend also tested the 3800+ CABYE 0630GPMW and he got 3740mhz @ 1.8v and -24c he said. More volts didn't help, probably because of the high temps.

heh, those are fun. last year, we set one of in the yard behind our dorm. took us a few tries, but nobody was injured, mainly cause we ran away from it like little school girls every time we threw it :rofl:

I saw a 0530APMW FX57 on british ebay a few months ago. At the time a normal FX57 sold for $250 on american ebay, I lost the british one for 250 GBP!! SICK! But damn, the chip I almost got to 4g on dice cost me $230. I'm happy;) Don't think those 0530's are any better than 0516WPMW. I bet if before or kingpin had benched 32m on their chips they would both beat fredyama. Don't think his chip was benchable @ 4g. It's a shame many ppl don't bench the slower benchmarks:rolleyes:

Ahh, and my Opty 152 WR chip is also an 0530APMW, btw:)

I love it when people say "that cpu will suck":D Someone said the CAB2E 0613XPMW's would suck, but if I have a little bit luck with the coldbug I think I can get close to the 3700+ Toledo WR;)

Remember, gianni got 3,8ghz++ with his cab1e 0617tpmw, my upmw was made the day after that one, and vpmw another day after. Sure 15 vs 11 multi helps, but I hope I can get 3,7ghz on one of them:D

CCB2E 0613XPMW. 2nd C means 2x1mb, so yes - toledo's:)

What I did was that I booted with 1.4v (BIOS), 166 divider, 3x htt, and let Orthos run. Then I opened sys-tool, and upped the fsb one mhz over and over again, and it went all the way up to 3150 or 3170 before orthos stopped. That means that they should be stable @ about 3100, at least from my experience;)

My X2 4800+ is a CCBIE 0613XPMW, and I got it up to 3678 or something, but since I got the WR about 75mhz before that, I didn't try to squeeze more out of it (reboot @ 3700 I think, then I tried some other chip). Hopefully, the CCB2E's are equally good. Looking good so far!;)

You probably had a coldbugged chip yourself, how great was that one on air? Just to compare...

Ah yes here it is:

It was an 0640 CPMW Batch 650, cold bug -30c/304 mhz, -28c/310 mhz and -24c/324 mhz. max vcore was 1.920 v and the validation was made with 1.888 volts.

Here is the result:

new WR Opteron 170: 3663.24 Mhz @ 1.776 v

The heat spreader was away from that cpu so I had to take another one above it because of the cold bug.

The validation was made with +23c....have to boot with 10x300 then push with Prime95 to get temps around +40c and then I could clock the MHz higher during fallen temps.

Cold Bug sounds like this:
245 mHz @ -30c
267 mHz @ -22c
283 mHz @ -16c
305 mHz @ -5c
316 mHz @ 0c
342 mHz @ 8c
348 mHz @ 10c

I validated with CPU-Z 1.41 because I forgot to use CPU-Z 1.42....I had luck my validation was upload. ;)

I tried this all on my SLI-D, next time I will use the Expert Venus.

@stunned_guy: that cb might explain my problems, the coldest core was always~below +5c. The warm one was @ 20 though :p (need to remove the IHS I guess, just to get even temps... then chilled water is next I guess:D dice on rad :p: ) I'll see if I can break your record, but not sure when I'll go for it. I have so many otehr chips to test you know, and this one was a big PITA the last time:D

@gianni nice spi time:clap: almost 2 sec faster than my personal best:D But then I mostly go for cpuz WR's before I try to run my chips @ laod @ 1.85v+;) Don't want to kill them...

Tested my last A64, not really good, coldbugs at 350HTT, but can't do 1M higher than 3150Mhz (no matter what voltage or MP)

What cooling? I think those E3's need very nice cooling if you want to get very high clocks;)

the chips before year 2005 will not go high, 0513 would better, best are 0517 to 0521. this will be for all !!!! winchesters. best stepping is 0517 spmw by the way, 2.7 ghz @ prime @ default vcore was doing. but i never found that chips in the past.

By the way to ending the weekend i got another one WR !!!!

3500+ Winchester @ 3238 mhz @ 1.776 v w/o heat spreader !!!

Look at the validation there it is written in the header.
CBBFD 0432 TPMW

Look at this:

with HS: 1,392v/-32°C --- 1,520v/-24°C --- 1,776v/-4°C --- 1,808v/+14°C
w/o HS: 1,392v/-38°C --- 1,520v/-33°C --- 1,776v/-26°C --- 1,808v/-21°C

all temps are im idle....really amazing the difference.

My WR X2 4400+-chip was bad as well. I think the IHS almost had no contact with one of the cores at all! One core had 35c load on water cooling and stock voltage, the other one went straight to 60c lol. I shut it down, it really went DIRECTLY to 60c in 0.1s!

My 170 is awful as well, 15c core difference. That one will be popped next weekend:p:
