ASUS P8P67 Pro 1305 does not support SLI!!!!!

I bought another GTX 570 (same brand) today.

wow.... I hate P8P67 pro bios ...........It may be bios problem.

Nothing difference within 2 cards and just can not SLI.... !!!!

I tested fine individual, just can not use in SLI.

Does some1 can tell how to downgrade from 1305 to 1204?

I think 1305 bios maybe did not add SLI authorize code.:mad:

Can you tell me how to setup in bios for SLI ? I just set PCIE16X-3 run at X1.

Maybe you just didn't install the SLI bridge correctly? Try flipping it and see if it helps...
It is possible that it's just broken, too. So try a different one.

Only 1 .......

I move 2 GTX570s to my friend's X58 system(ASUS P6T-D). SLI works fine.

wow,, Sad 1305 bios.

That sucks. I didn't touch anything in my bios with regards to vid cards. Maybe try a reset to defaults in bios and keep your fingers crossed.

Had the same problem with my 570 GTX SLI on my P67 Deluxe and solve it by remove "Windows Loader" :rolleyes:, installed another Windows7 edition and got my SLI setup working without changing the bios (1204)

Believe me it works, saw this solution in another fórum.... i still don't understand why.... :shrug:

I downgraded to 1204...wow. SLI also can not work on 1204 bios.

I don't think it's a good idea to downgrade from 13xx to 12xx. They seams to have some micro-code update and HW-changes in 13xx. This may mess up other stuff if you downgrade.
I guess, you should just wait, they will fix 13xx soon, hopefully.

1. If you haven't already, download BUPDATER version 1.22, make something to boot real DOS and make sure you have backed up your BIOS.

2. Enter BIOS, select F5 and load optimized settings. Save and exit F10. If you want to be ultra cautious you could check stability, in particular RAM using optimized defaults.

4. Once you have successfully flashed the modded 0804 image 0804PRO2.ROM you can go into the BIOS setup and flash any of the other BIOS images up to 1305 using EzFlash. If you want to use 0804 you can flash over the modded one with the original 0804 to keep things straight if you wish.

0804PRO2.ROM will only work for images upto and including hardware version 2. If some time later Asus does another hardware version increment then a newer modified 0804 image would have to be made.

I haven't a PRO to test on so please post some feedback, good or bad. If you have any questions or are not sure of something please feel free to ask. :)

I think if you read the first page notes on the official BIOS thread you could easily be lead to thinking that.

Microcodes are temporary, and have to be loaded** each time you power up the CPU. They don't change things irreversibly.

Whatever you call it, micro code, HW, FW. None of those complex stuff can explain the simple fact that you can't downgrade from 13xx to 12xx in a usual and straight forward way, according to yourself.

You, yourself have been providing a modded 0804 BIOS, and you have been describing an unusual proses for downgrading, but now you are saying "I can think of no reason for the downgrade to work any differently than it did before" ?
It was different, according to yourself. Has anything changed in 13xx since you provided modded 0804 BIOS or your view has changed?

:confused: Because I can not think of a reason why it would not work as before. Like Intel probably can not think of a reason why the new PCH B3 stepping should not work as expected. ;)

Not sure that i understand you here Sam, so I hope the following is what your looking for.

The small different part will no longer be there once the user has flashed over the modded 0804 with Ezflash using one of the other BIOS versions or the original 0804 itself. I choose 0804 because it was the earliest official release and the user would likely flash a higher version afterward.

I've flashed back and forth quite a few times this way since 1253 came out with no problems.

If you're concerned something nefarious is going on by downgrading this way checking for changes can easily be done. Backup 1305, flash the modded 0804, use EzFlash to flash back 1305 then make another backup and compare it with the original backup. Alternatively an earlier backup before the modded 0804 was ever flashed could be used to check in the same way as 1305. You should see no changes other than that of the NVAR volume as this can change from boot to boot. Many of your settings and even boot devices for example will be stored on the flash chip rather than the traditional 0x70/0x72 CMOS.

Once the B3 stepping boards are out there may be a good reason for preventing downgrading to the older B2 stepping BIOSes i.e. incompatibility. Since that doesn't seem far away I will not be providing any further modded BIOS.
