I everyone, i recently got mi Asus RE for a intel 8500īs rig.
Everithing is working fine but i have the "cpu init" message in the LCD post. I have read that this message i offen a power problem, but i have doble-checked the 8 and 24 pin conections and they are just fine.
I repeat, even with this error i can run windows (and maje a little OC).
Someone knows why my LCD shows this error?
My config is:
Asus RE x48
Intel 8500
2x2Gb OCZ Flex EX 1600 cas 7
HIS 4870x2
CoolerMaster silentPro 700W

its only a error if your computer locks up at that point
the lcd poster simply lists the processes as they happen so if the comp locks up during one of them
you have a clue where the prob might be

havent heard of that one before.
the message is obviously incorrect if it is booting
did you try a cmos reset? maybe check plug on lcd poster
possibly its a hardware prob that requires an RMA:shrug:
*sigh* I feel your pain brother. But at least your system is up and running and unless you have other problems with it, here are the steps you should *carefully* take to prevent having this problem;
1 - Carefully remove the plug for the LCD Display from the motherboard.
2 - Re-seal your case.
3 - Wind cable attached to LCD Display around self.
4 - Flush LCD Display down working toilet.
Like the 'Speeding HDD' feature of that board, the LCD Display is yet another useless gimmick from ASUS.
