I'm just finished modding it to the same size of G1/4" barb, and before I'm going to enlarge some more I really want to know any performance gain if I did it to the size of G3/8? here are some pictures of what I did

I belive it was said that the G1/4" was the best for hte inlet only...
less flow restriction if with g38 hi-flo barbs...
i do wish for the inlet to be modified to g38 hi-flo also...

You arleady modded the top inlet, and search the threads. Anderson made one about flow rates, I'm pretty sure they found if you opened them all up, you lost too much pressure head.Quote:

I don't think that any bigger inlet would do any good. The inlet on the rotor itself is roughly 1/2" in diameter, so with the ~10mm you can get from one of Eddy's barbs, all the water going in should perfectly hit the inlet on the rotor. If it was bigger, I guess that there would be more turbulence which would result rather in more restriction than in higher flow...

anyone has the results of Radiical vs. Alphacool Modded Top comparison? I can mod the outlet bigger but it will take some time to do it, I want to know the performance loss or gain if outlet is bigger before I'm modding it, slight performance gain doesn't worth my time of modding so please link the results or personal testing results would be fine, thanks!

I'm measured the hole in the middle of impeller and mod it to same size of it (11.5mm size) Eddy's barbs ID are about 10mm so my mod is slight larger 1mm at the bottom
