(Unless elpida recently changed its chip package)
this is what elpida chips looks like from the side: it has slanted side.
this is g.skill trident from the side - idk if it's samsung, micron, or something else- but for sure it's not elpida.
also in this picture this chip has only 3 rows of lead balls in one side... Maybe it's new 50nm node chip from hynix, but I basically have no idea what these chips are.
(Tried to open the heatspreader as you can see in the picture.... and broke my nail )

Yes, it's quite hard because there is 2 stickers on the 2 screws...be careful guys
But it's elpida's chips. Just use it and you'll be convinced.
BTW, i have just finished a 1075Mhz 32M with it....
ok. just LOOK at those chips. it's NOT elpida.
you know this can't be elpida hyper at this price. All other elpida chips suck and they cannot even reach 1866Mhz. What now? It just can't be elpida, which is a good news unless it's hyper.

Here is some action with stock timings and voltages...Full air of course.
Not so bad for a 150€ kit
for sure it's not good as Hypers, but i believe for standard overclocker (watercooling for example) it's wonderful.
the best voltage for me is beetwin 1.55 and 1.65. What's about yours canna ?

I don't think so. Last time i try PB 2000, it was HCF0. I don't know if ICs have changed, but it's not HCF0 on Trident.

2Ghz @ CL8 seems to be easy for the Trident....
