.5X multipliers with AMD64?
Hi guys. I know some people report having bad performance with .5x Multipliers with AMD64, something like the ram ratio dropping. Is it only with certain boards, chipsets or just the AMD64s?

I think if you bump the multi by 0.5 to say 9.5, the memory will still run at the same speed as @ 9. Other than that - I haven't tested it yet.

Actually I think it is rounded up, hmmm:
Like 9.5x200 = 1.9GHz
1900MHz / 10 (9.5 rounded up) = 190MHz RAM

What do you mean I dont get?
If I boot up at 9.5X and clockgen it to 266FSB 1:1, will it stay at 266?

No, your RAM will be running 253MHz
Your RAM will be CPU/10 with a 9.5x multi.
It will be CPU/11 with a 10.5x multi.
Just round up for your RAM divider.

It's just the way the RAM controller is, CPU is divided by an integer Doesn't hurt performance though, not running 1:1, since 1:1 doesn't exist on Athlon64...

Yeah but you do get lower RAM speed than you would get by bumping the FSB..
